ANASTASIA COULDN'T HELP BUT THINK BACK TO NIGHT SHE FIRST TOOK SOMEONE'S life. She took an oath to do no harm, she promised herself she would help anytime she could. That night was waiting for Luke to get home, and the girls were sleeping over with their grandparents. Luke found her covered in blood, and in shock. They moved, she didn't feel safe, in their apartment anymore.
She remembers how close he hugged as she cried, and she just buried her head in his chest, trying to find comfort. Which she found, and how he helped her control her breathing.
"Anastasia, you're okay?" Lori asks. Anastasia looks up and nods.
Maggie asks, "Rick say anything to you about Glenn when they got back from town?"
Lori says, "Just that it had gotten pretty bad."
Maggie says, "He's not the same." Maggie sniffs, "Says he froze. Blames me. Says I got inside his head."
Lori says, "He came back--that's what matters. Men have to do certain things--you know that--and they're either gonna blame the little woman as the reason they do 'em or the reason they don't. I'll tell you something--what happens out there happens out there. And we--we're just trying to keep it together till they get back."
Maggie says, "Thing's were good. Maybe I--"
"Glenn's a big boy. He makes his own choices, and then you--do you have anything to apologize for? Tell him to man up and pull himself together. Just don't say "man up." Lori laughs, "It never goes well."
"It's better to say I love you, especially right now. We don't know how much time we got left." Anastasia says.
Maggie says. "Let me just get this to Beth."
"You go on. I got it." Lori leaves the two alone.
"Anastasia you're okay?" Maggie asks.
"I just, Luke. I miss him." Anastasia says. "I'm not used to doing it alone, he's always been there. Been my rock, my best friend, and now he's in DC and I need him." She admits with teary eyes.
"Tell me about him." Maggie says making the older female smile.
"He is kind, his eyes are calm, and his smile." She says beginning to smile. "He is caring, and lovely, he held my hand during labor, and he went to all the checks up unless a case came up last minute." She smiles softly. "He's great with our kids, he listens and takes them to games, tries his hardest to be there for us all." She smiles thinking back at how when she was sad, he and the kids put on a little production after they lost Sam.
"He sounds wonderful." Maggie smiles softly.
"He is, I hope you meet him one day. He told me the first time I told him I loved him, I scared him. He was just out of divorce and the girls were on their ways. It was different for us, my fiancé had died on the job. I met Luke, and it just felt like magic." Anastasia says smiling.
