ANASTASIA TRIED NOT TO VOMITE BUT SHE COULDN'T HELP IT. SHE COULDN'T HELP it. She threw up everything she ate. She remembers how she almost became the woman, in college after one of her ex boyfriend began getting controlling and he beat her for talking to a guy friend, she tried fighting back but he over powered her until she bit him and scratched his eyes. Rosa pulled her away from the relationship and two never spoke about it.
She made a promise to herself she wouldn't ever let a man lay a hand on her, and anyone she knew. She remembers the day she confided in Luke, and how he held her and reassured her, he would never.
"Ana." Shane says, she finds her sister crying and he approaches her trying to hug her but she backs away. "Ana, I won't hurt you." He whispers. She knew Shane had a temper, one time when a guy got handsy without her permission he beat him up, Rick and Ash had to pull him away.
"Ana, what's going on?" He asks, she knew her brother would never hurt her. He raised her when their father skipped town after finding out Anastasia wasn't his. She turns around and vomits more.
"I've never seen you so angry." She says, "I never seen you like this." She analyzes his face.
"I saw how he handled you and I lost it Ana, I wasn't about to let that bastard manhandle you." He says.
"You lost it Shane, you lost it. You can't loose it, my kids were there." She says.
"Luke would of done the same thing. You would do the same thing for anyone who else." He says.
"You don't know me! Okay? You don't!" She glares at him.
"How am I suppose to know you, Anastasia? Every time I reach out you don't want it." He says. "I'm your big brother Ana, I'm the one who's supposed to protect you." He says.
"I'm so hurt." She says trying to get a grip of her emotions.
"Ed?" He asks and she shakes her head.
"I lost the man I love, and I don't know how to go on but I know I have to, for Maddy, Mel, Val, and Frank. Shit I don't know how Mavis is holding on." She admits for the first time. She's been trying to hold onto everything, "I don't know if he's alive." She says angrily.
"Hey hey hey, listen sweetheart." He says softly holding her face in his hands, he's done it many times before, as kids. "Luke is alive, he's a fighter, always has been. Okay?" He says.
"Luke is alive, I bet you he's saving the president or something crazy." He says. She nods trying to hold onto hope that her husband was okay and he is alive.
SHANE REMEMBERS HIS CONVERSATION WITH ASH LAST NIGHT. IT WAS THE ONE THING that kept playing on his mind.
He and Ash sat together they were keeping watch tonight. The two were always close, but after Anastasia left for college they depended more on each other.
