When I got off work that night I had a message from Xander for me to meet him at my apartment. When I got home that evening he was waiting outside for me.

“Hey sweetie. Whoa, what happened to you? You look awful.”

“It’s my dad...he’s really sick...he’s dying...”

“Oh, Oh Xander. I am so sorry.” I said as I hugged him, “I know how you feel. My parents both died in a car wreck when I was 5 and I had to live with my Uncle and Aunt.”

“Sweetie, you don’t understand, I have to leave tomorrow.”

“No...no, you, you can’t! I don’t want you to go!”

“I’m sorry, I have to.”

“No! You can’t! You can’t leave! I was just getting to know you!” I was so upset I hit his chest getting mad.

He grabbed my wrists and pulled me in for a hug. “Sh...its okay...i know...I don’t want to leave either. But, I’ll visit, and I will fly you out to visit whenever you can and you can stay as long as you want okay?”

I nodded in agreement.

The next morning I was holding his hand tightly as we walked down the airport terminal.

“Xander, please, I don’t want you to go. Please don’t go.”

“I know. I don’t want to go either sweet heart. But I’ll see you soon okay?” He said hugging me.

“But... we haven’t even had our first kiss or anything.”

“Well, then.” He put his hands on my cheeks and kissed me. “I’ll see you in two weeks okay?”

“Okay.” I hugged him goodbye “see you in two weeks...” I watched him get on the plane and watched him take off. When I got home that afternoon, I couldn’t help it. I cried for three hours straight.

A few hours later my phone rang.

“Hello?” I answered sleepily.

“Hey.” I heard Xanders sweet voice on the other line.

“Are you home now?”

“Yeah. I miss you.”

“I miss you too...” I was trying really hard not to cry again.

“I know the time difference is like 6 hours but, I really just wanted to call you and hear your voice.”

“Yeah... I wanted to talk to you too... Xander, please, come back! I...I don’t think I can wait two weeks to see you again...”

“I know. But hey, listen, when you come out, we will get to spend three whole weeks together okay?” I know I couldn’t see him but I was sure he was smiling.

“Okay...goodnight Xander...”

“Goodnight my girl.”

After I hung up I fell asleep wishing he was there with me.
