Why!

Willows pov

"Now don't break it." Tyler said. 
" I won't." I say.  We walk for about five minutes.  Then we hear, " aaaggh!" I look at Tyler worried.

" It's probably some other tribute,  your parents are fine." Tyler said.  "Yeah you're probably right." I said.

Then I hear a scream that made my blood run cold.
" Willow.  We love you!"  Then I hear two cannons go off.  I look at Tyler scared. No. Horrified!

The scream came from my parents.  Then I start to run towards the direction they were going.  " Willow!  Willow, Wait! " I hear Tyler scream behind me.

But I don't listen to him. I keep running,running, running until I see their bodies on the floor.  Berries surrounding them. Dark blue and a hint of silver. Nightlock!

" Tyler they ate the Nightlock.  They're  dead. They're dead. " I cry on his shoulder.
" Why---Why would they do this?!" I say .  " I don't know.  Willow, I'm so sorry." Is all he could say.

I see a hovercraft pick them up. Tyler hugs me tightly as I cry and watch them being taken away.

When they are both gone, I get up. 
" I want to have some time alone."I tell Tyler.  
"It's–" I hear him say but I'm already running away.  I keep going straight.

Run ,run, run away.  I keep thinking.  I stop at a large Willow tree. Like the one back home.  I drop to my knees and cry.

I cry until I'm weak and tired.   I find myself drifting to sleep.   I find myself dreaming of my parents.   About how my mother used to take me to the woods and sing to me.

How my father taught me how to bake and paint.

Then all those happy memories faded away. I wake up to reality. 
" Willow!"  I hear someone call my name. 
" Willow, you had me worried sick." It's Tyler.

" S-sorry I sort of cried myself to sleep. " I say.   It's dark already and we aren't even close to our camp.
"We have to hurry! " Tyler said, urgency clear in his voice.

In the distance I hear a high pitch scream. The mutts must be out already hunting their prey.  Us.

We start to run.  I fall and hit my head on something.
"Willow?,Willow! " Is the last thing I hear before everything goes black.

I wake up and feel pain burst throughout my head.  I feel my head and see I have a small pad of gauze on the left side of my forehead.

" Oh, good your awake. " I hear someone say, it's Tyler.  
" H-how long was I out? " I asked.  

" About five days." He said.  "Haymitch sent us medical supplies." He continued.
" So can you inform me on the tributes ?" I asked.  
" What you mean,who's dead?"

" Yeah that's what I mean." I said back to him.
" Well the two kids from 5 ,6 and 7,  the two Victors from 10 , the two kids  from 11 and the four from 3 and 9, and the boy  from 4 are all dead. " He said.

" So that means there are only fifteen of us left. " I said. 
" Yup."
" So the careers are still out there?" I asked. 
" Yup,  hunting tributes down." He said.

" Anyways,  want to eat? " he said "Yeah,  I'm starving " I said.  We sat there in silence and ate some nuts he had found in a nearby plant whom he recalled as edible .  Then he said,
" We should find water I dropped my bag when we were running and it all drained out. " 

Then a parachute floats down and lands in between the two of us.  I open it up and read the small paper.

"What does this mean?" I asked a little louder than I should of. 
" What? " he asked clearly confused. "This the last sentence, what does it mean?" I asked.

" I don't know. What did he send?" He asked. 
" I think its a spile.  He said we'll need this later.  Right know we should go to  the river and get water."

At the meadow by the river -

" I'll go hunt for food, while you get the water." I said. 
" No Willow , I'll go with you" Tyler insisted.

" No, you need to get water so we can get this over with." I said.
" Willow, it's too dangerous. " he pleaded. 

" No, I'll be fine,don't worry.  My head is all ready cured, we'll mostly.  " I said to him.
" I think it's cute when you try to protect me. "I say and kiss him.

" I'll never let go." Tyler said.
" I'll  be fine." I say again.  
" Willow, I promised your parents. " Tyler said.

" Don't you trust me?" I asked. 
" Of course I do." He said . 
" Then let me go, trust me." I said.  "but —" he stopped.

" Fine, go but as soon as I finish this, I'm going to you.  At least let me do that."
" Okay." I said back to him.
