I can't help but laugh at the view of myself in the mirror once I've stepped into my dress for the evening. Harry hears me chuckling and pokes his head out of the bathroom.
I watch his eyes dart across my body and soften slightly, and goosebumps pop up across my arms. That's all it takes for me to stop feeling insecure, the knowledge that he still thinks I'm beautiful.
"You look amazing." He says softly, coming over and wrapping his arms around my shoulders and resting his chin on my head.
"It's a lovely dress, isn't it?" I say, smoothing the teal material across my rather large and uncomfortable stomach.
I'm just over three weeks until my due date, and honestly I can barely believe Harry's managed to convince me to go out this evening. I really want to, but my back and my feet certainly don't.
"I'm more concerned with the woman in it." He mumbles into my hair, maybe my lips twitch into a smile.
"I'm wearing trainers with it. There's no way in hell you'd get me in heels right now."
He chuckles softly and slips away, taking his suit jacket off the hanger and slipping it on. It takes me a while to get downstairs at the moment, so I waddle my way out of the bedroom and start my descent.
I argue with myself as to whether I should sit down and get comfortable, but then have to go through the struggle of getting myself up again, when Harry comes bounding down the stairs with a smile, running his hand through his recently chopped hair.
"Are you ready?" He asks, offering me his arm.
"Yup."
We're going to be late, especially after it takes me an extra five minutes to get comfortable in the car, but James won't mind. From what I have heard, anybody and everyone is coming to this party, for some reason, so I doubt he'll miss us for the first half hour or so. I don't really know why, as it isn't his birthday, but it's been a while since we've caught up with James and Julia, and I'm excited to go out.
Apart from walking around LA, most of my time has been spent at home recently, getting stuff ready for the end of March and then resting when I get too tired to do anything else. I've done a few more self portraits showing off the bump in all its glory, as well as some other random pieces.
"Are you looking forward to this evening?" I ask softly, tearing my eyes away from the sunset to glance at Harry.
He still manages to take my breath away, and I almost laugh aloud at the flutters that go through my stomach. He's literally glowing in the wake of the setting sun, and his eyes look so vibrantly green my fingers start itching to paint him. His dark eyelashes and short hair almost make my mouth water, and I have to shake myself to stop staring.
"I am, yeah. I'm looking forward to catching up with James, and a few others."
The outside of the large house is pretty busy when we arrive, and it takes a while for Harry to find a place to park. He almost has to carry me up the stairs to the front door, both of us chuckling when we finally make it inside.
