Best Mistake

Chapter 16

"Did you ever think you would be dating me?"

"Do you want me to be honest?" Aang asked. "Yes I want you to be honest."

"No I didn't think I would be dating you. When you first walked into Science I thought like "damm she hot."but I never thought of dating you. When I looked at you my heart started beating fast. I don't you just got me nervous. You had long beautiful hair, your eyes reminded me of a crystal clear blue ocean." Aang honestly replied. His heart swelled up when he thought of Katara, he wasn't sure how to explain it but he never wanted to let her go. He always wanted to keep her beside him making sure she was safe in his arms. He could never think of himself without Katara. He would always need her by his side.

Katara shyly blushed. "Aww." Katara's heart warmed up when she heard Aang talk about her. She would feel her heave warm up and she felt this comforting tingle in her heart. The feeling would start at her chest and move to the end of her stomach.

Aang looked over his shoulder to see Katara's ocean eyes. "What was your first reaction of me?" Aang curiously wondered as he looked back to the road.

Katara started think for a couple of seconds before talking. "I didn't really think much of dating you when we first met. But when I noticed you I first saw your arrows I thought it was strange but I also thought they looked very good on you. You were a very good looking kid too." Katara sighed happily as she was remembering her old memories. Aang smiles as he intertwined their hands together. Katara looked back at him and kissed him. Aang had to pull away from their kiss because he didn't want to Crash his car or anything. And he definitely didn't want anything bad happen to his Waterbender.

"Alright guys! Let's start heading in." Sokka yelled out to his friends. Everyone walked hand-in-hand. There were a lot of people entering the schools doors. The group entered the school along with other people.

Katara and Sokka looked around the schools decorations. The two siblings looked at each other and smiled. The group followed the students into the gym.

No words could describe they way the gym looked. The decorations were absolutely perfect, streamers hung from wall to wall. Small lights also hanged from wall to wall and shined the floor. Many Tables were set up in the large gym. The round tables were all the nation colors, in the middle sat fake candles that were very dim.

The small foods were well done for a school. The drinks were canned drinks. A big bowl sat on the food table full with red punch, the plastic spoon floated in red punch. Small crackers, rounded and thin meats, and lastly rectangular cheese was presented on a plate for anyone to take. Red plastic cups also were placed on the large table full of small foods. The deserts were perfectly made, the frosting was 10/10. Everybody in the school was drooling over the chocolate fountain. Students would heavily coat strawberries, bananas, and many other fruits in the fountain.

The stage was big, lights shined onto the stage. The bright lights shined onto the King and Queen crowns, the crowns reflected the bright lights, and shined off to somewhere eles.

The group sat at a large table for them to fit on. Katara pull her phone on the table as everyone eles did too. They started talking about the prom and how it looks. Soon enough music started playing.

The music was fast so many people were grinding on each other or just dancing with each other. Sokka dragged Suki to the dance floor and the two started dancing. Katara watched as she saw them, a small smile formed on her face. Aang got up and held his hand out in front of Katara and smiles.

"I don't know, Aang. These Shoes aren't really right for dancing." Katara explained as she showed him her heels again.

Katara fiddled with her hair and continued stuttering. "And I'm not sure that I know how to..."
