Best Mistake

Chapter 22

Time went by very slowly, time couldn't go by any slower or faster. Katara and Suki felt like they were waiting for years. Nervousness came over Katara she didn't know what she would do with a child. She didn't know what Aang would think and she was scared of everything at this point. All Katara wanted right now was the the test to come out negative because she definitely couldn't handle a child right now, not with all the stress and everything eles going on in her life. She felt her hands become very sweaty. Once again she felt like throwing up again. Suki just rubbed her back for comfort.

Katara looked from the stick fro afar. The stick was on the bathroom sink and Katara and Suki sat on the bed. Katara went on her phone trying to distract herself from everything that was currently going on in her life. Her mind was going into overdrive, everything clouded her mind from thinking straight. Everything was just going down hill. Nothing was going her way, this wasn't how any of this was going to happen. its only been a minute since Katara took the test.

"Suki what am I gonna do if im pregnant? I don't even know the first step of a baby." Suki put a firm hand on Katara's shoulder. "Katara you may not even be pregnant. So you can calm down."

After Suki stoped talking they saw Sokka coming in and with wide eyes with his mouth open. "Katara y-your PREGNANT?!" Sokka ran infant of Katara. Katara felt like she was gonna cry the last person she wanted know about this was Sokka. She breathed in before she spoke, "Sokka im not sure." She began, "I just took a test so please stop freaking out. And shut up I don't need you screaming things out. And definitely don't need dad knowing about me taking a test. So please just shut the fuck up right now."

Sokka scoffed as he sat beside Suki. "Katara what are you gonna do with a baby?'' Katara wiped a small tear. "Sokka im not sure, but I may not even be pregnant. So can we stop acting like I am." Sokka looked at his sister and saw how hurt she was. "Ok fine. How much longer do we have to wait?"

Suki looked at her phone to check the time. "Shit we can right now.'' The three ran to the bathroom. Katara ran to the test an d held it in her hand. Her hands were sweating and heart was beating. She was scared to to see the test. She didn't know what to expect but a positive test. She sharply breathed in before she saw the test.

Negative.

She breathed out ass he smiled to both Sokka and Suki. She showed them the nest as they both smiled to her. "THANK GOD!'' Sokka screams out as he tightly hugged his sister. Something felt off to Katara the test just didn't seem right, but she will take this small win. Katara felt another chain come off her chest. All her baggage was slowly fading away. Katara pulled away from Sokka's tight hug and set the test on her sink. The three waked out of the bathroom. Sokka and Suki went to Sokka's room as Katara laid on her bed.

She pulled out her phone and FaceTimed Aang. It was currently 12:35 am. Aang immediately answered the call as soon as he saw to pop up on his phone. "Hi babe. How are you?"
Aang asked as he took off his shirt trying to turn Katara on and it definitely worked. She bit her lips and turned red. "N-nothing. I mean good."

Aang chuckled, he took a drink of his water bottle. Katara just admired his abs. "You know, the view would be so much better if you put the phone lower."

"No sorry Katara." Aang said as he was teasing her. Katara just groaned, "so how have you been lately. You know, with everything with the police and recovering."

"Ummm I've been good I finally got off of bed rest the other day so I get to do more active stuff now. I've also started to jog now!" Katara smiled and she heard the good news. She felt like she didn't have to worry as much now. "That's really good babe. Maybe one day we can go on a jog together." Aang happily sighed, "I would like that."
