Okay, now he was silently regretting his life choices.
Standing outside a large house lost in the middle of the woods and entirely made of glass and for some reason that should make him feel safer, but it didn't.
And did he mention it was night time? Because it was.
Stiles climbed out of the backseat of Edward's Volvo shutting the door behind him as both Bella and Edward got out the front.
"I know right," Bella smiled at her cousin. "I didn't get why all the glass windows either."
"Stiles?" Edward called from the front steps clear amusement in his tone and expression as he waited for the two and holding his hand out for Bella once she reached him.
Yeah, after his little overprotective chat with his dear cousin and good vampire friend he definitely wanted to meet said good vampire friend's family. Sure, Stiles had heard stories about them especially and most of all, all the bad things.
Like how Rosalie was a stone-cold bitch to everyone.
How Alice was a too happy pixie wanting nothing more than to be everyone's friend.
How Emmett was the complete bro/jock type.
Jasper wasn't too bad he gathered since Edward barely spoke about him and when he did it was with a sort of admiration and liking. The most tolerable of his siblings, Stiles guessed.
And then there were his 'parents'.
Esme was motherly and loving, but a bit too much at times when she was worried about him.
Carlisle though was very fatherly despite his freakishly young age. And the only bad thing Edward ever said about him was how he was way too good at everything he did. Whether it was parenting, being a husband, being a doctor, town resident, friend, anything.. he was just exceptionally good at it.
So, yes, this visit would be extremely interesting.
And yet Stiles still felt like he was regretting it immensely.
They walked through the front door and rounded the corner into the kitchen it was clean-cut extremely modern for a century-old living vampire family. The countertops were dark marble, the barstools black leather, the floors were white tiles that shined with the outside light, and the walls were a light color that evened the room out between dark and light.
"Hi," a honey-sweet voice greeted and Stiles looked to the side to see a couple, a woman and a man.
They both had bright golden-colored eyes just like Edward's and very pale skin.
The woman also had long, dark brown hair that outlined her heart-shaped face, she was beautiful and the warm smile that she wore eased any worries Stiles had previously had leaving nothing but faint caution.
The man though had short, platinum blonde hair that was neatly gelled to the side highlighting his high cheekbones and chiseled bone structure, very handsome, for a guy over three centuries old, Stiles thought almost reminding himself that he was now willingly being surrounded by vampires.
"I'm Esme," she introduced herself when all Stiles did was stare at them.
"You must be Stiles, Edward's told us quite a bit about you as has Bella. My name's Carlisle," he smiled.
"Hey..." Stiles awkwardly waved at them and it took him a second to realize they were holding their hands out to him. "It's nice to meet you guys too," he started to feel more confident now as he shook their hands the familiar coldness he always felt from Edward not bothering him in the slightest. "He talked about his family a lot and I mean... a lot-"
