"Breakfast's ready!"
You yelled from the dining area to your four boys. It was already seven in the morning, the soft touch of the early morning sun gracing the walls of your dining room as you await for them to join you for breakfast.
You immediately heard footsteps approaching, first ones were lighter; means they were from you three little boys, the next one was heavier, and you instantly knew it was your husband's.
A shriek came out of you when a pair of strong arms enveloped your waist and lifted you easily about a couple of inches off the floor. The three boys; Marcus who was 6, Alexander who was 5, and your youngest Sebastian Jr. was 3 all laughed with you as they watched their father scoop their mother into his arms.
"Boys, tell your father to stop," you gave your sons a playful warning look but all they responded was a trio of chuckle and shaking of heads.
"They're with me," Sebastian laughed, placing a long kiss on your cheeks, "and you can't do anything about that."
You brushed your palms through your blouse as Sebastian took a seat next to you, a wicked grin set on his beautiful face. "So, first, your sons' faces looks a lot like you, and the second is, they won't side with me anymore."
Seb stared at you with raised brows, "OUR sons."
"Our sons," you chuckled, shaking your head as you sat down on your seat, a smile on your face, "chill, sir. It's only seven."
Sebastian was in his usual suit, his daily get-up as he goes to his work every weekdays. He was an accountant at a local accounting firm, and given that his job is actually pretty stable and is more than enough to get you everything you need and even want, you decided to stay in the house for the meantime while the kids were younger. You wanted to look out for them yourself, instead of just getting a nanny that could be doing all sorts of wrong to your beloved children.
"Mom," Marcus spoke up, a slice of egg on his fork, " I'm thinking of getting a cat. The other kid in my class said cats are fun, and he showed me pictures. They seem cute. Can we get a cat, too?"
You opened your mouth and looked at Sebastian, who currently paused from chewing and just stared at Marcus. He was allergic to cats ever since, and the thought of having one running around creeped him out.
"Um, baby," you began, "I think daddy's not quite...fond of cats."
"Why?" Marcus looked from you then to Seb.
"I'm kinda...allergic to them, bud. I'm sorry," Sebastian pursed his lips together in a thin line, sporting his son the usual apologetic-dad-look. "But how about we get dogs instead?"
"Dogs!" Alexander interjected, clapping his hands eagerly.
"Dugz..." Little Sebastian chided in, mouth full of bacon.
"Really?" Marcus beamed, "yeah! I would love dogs. I think they're cooler."
"Then I think we already have plans for Sunday, then," you smiled, "we'd go to foster homes for dogs and we pick one. Just one, to bring home."
"Sounds like a plan." Sebastian said, nodding.
After eating, you immediately washed the dishes and went to the living room, finding Seb stuck with his tie. You chuckled to yourself as you moved and step in to help him out.
"Let me get it for you," you said, making him sigh in relief and mouth a small thank you. "You look gorgeous. If this was some other time, I would have mistaken you for some movie star."
Sebastian roared in laughter at your sudden comment, but secretly loved it. "Really? A movie star? And in what kind of movie would I be starring in?"
"Hmm," you laughed, thinking, "you could be a vampire, or a pixie dream boy, or...a superhero. A superhero with a long hair."
"Long hair?" He laughed again, "that's weird. Remember when I had one last summer? That was rather problematic. The strands...it just gets everywhere. The drain, the pillowcases, the sink, inside Marcus' toys. God, t'was horrible."
"But you gotta admit you really looked hot," you wiggled your brows, "plus the beard, it kinda does 'things' to me."
"So you're saying I should grow it back?"
"I didn't say anything about that." You laughed, sliding your palms through his lean and hard chest right after finishing his tie.
"You know I love doing those 'things' to you, hun," Sebastian pulled you in an embrace. Dipping his head down, he kissed your lips deeply, just like he always does, the same kinda kiss that just effortlessly sweeps you off your feet. "I love you everyday."
"I love you, too," you responded, "by the way, don't use my car today. I'm gonna go run some errands by nine and drive Marcus and Alexander to school a little later."
"Don't worry, I got it," he winked, breaking away from the hug to grab his case, "I'll drive them for today. And about the errands, check the fridge."
Your two boys, Marcus and Alex went out of the hallway in their school outfits and bags, running to your husband as he ushered them both outside. They bid you goodbyes as you went out to watch Seb's car drive away, leaving you and Seb Jr., who was playing with his lion stuffed toy, alone together.
When they were nowhere in sight, you went in and walked directly to the dining area, and to the fridge. You opened it and was surprised when you saw the items inside that were listed on your sticky note the other day.
You smiled to yourself, thinking about how lucky you were with him, and how your life was complete with your four boys.
