"D'you play?"

You furrowed your brows, leaning your elbows forward the wooden table, your back angling away from the chair. A soft laughter escaped past your lips, shaking your head in the process.

"Pool?" You snorted, "Nope."

The man, or Rus, as what you call him often, snickered. Of course he knew you don't play, he was just asking for the sake of teasing the life out of you.

You were invited over to a colleague's place for a housewarming party. And though you had been into the showbusiness industry for almost a decade of your life, you were quite the introverted person that nobody would think you are, making it harder for you to cope to your surroundings without your PA or Manager in tow.

Rus was as well your colleague, but you have known the man for plenty of years now that you sometimes think of him as a friend. It was hard to differentiate who's who inside the industry, so you thought it was best to keep distance to avoid nonsense drama.

"Have you thought over the role I gave you?" The man paused from his solo play and turned to look at you, "I could have curated an audition for it, you know, to give the new faces some chance of that big budget movie. It's a catch given you've been slacking off some projects."

You hummed under your breath, inhaling a good set of air before you grimaced, "Yeah. Actually, I think I'm gonna take it."

Rus gave you a lopsided grin, jerking his eyebrow up as he resumed to playing, "Attagirl."

Rus was a high-ranking executive at the agency you signed with three years ago. Since then, he was the one who made sure you have roles on some of the biggest movies or perhaps franchises in the industry, or that you'd get the best publicist in town, and a huge ton of endorsements and modelling jobs. Everything was right under your nose.

But to much success you've been having for the last decade of your life, that was the equivalent failure to your dating scene. When most artists like you needed and agree to contractual PR relationships to garner attention and to maybe keep someone around for the mean time, you were never like them. You never liked the idea of being linked to various actors around, and you also have troubles in trusting men inside and outside the industry, as most of them are either very superficial, just plain dumb, or boring. You never really had genuine relationships.

That was until you met him. Sebastian.

You were called by your manager saying that an out-of-the-state Museum recently invited you to be a guest to their charity-driven exhibit and auction event, you eagerly said yes to it. They told you you were gonna be with a fellow actor, the one who stars as an enhanced supersoldier on some MCU movies. You were never really a fan of it, so you just shrugged, the thought slipping off your mind.

But the day came and you finally saw him. He was charming. As hell. And that was an understatement. You shook hands and he smiled at you, politely telling you his name as if he was someone new around, albeit his oldness in the industry. Throughout that day, Sebastian was so gentle, soft-spoken, and a gentleman. He would only touch some parts of your arm or the small of your back if you needed be. He was funny, and just like you were, he was so interested in art and everything that comes with it.
