You slammed the door shut as Sebastian walked ahead of you, still dead quiet ever since he called service to drive you both to your shared home. He actually had been quiet from the event you both previously attended, and you just can't point out what caused him to act like that.
"Seb, talk to me please." You pleaded, your chest heavy as you felt a pulling sensation on your gut. "What's wrong? What happened?"
He scoffed, loosening his tie from his neck before throwing it across the room. You had been dating him for quite some time now, and to be honest, you had never seen him this upset. You always knew he was one to contain his anger, and you can always tell he was doing the best he could to do so.
But this was different, your heart was pounding wildly against your ribs. You wanted to go near him and hug him, but you were afraid of seeing that side of him. "Please, tell me--"
"Tell you?" He scoffed for the second time, "tell you what? Should I tell you for the millionth time how to watch your actions?"
You shook your head, taking steps closer, "Watch my actions? Why? I didn't do something wrong--"
"You didn't do something wrong?" He chuckled bitterly, "so flirting with another man as if you didn't have a boyfriend who was watching you from the nearby table wasn't wrong? Was that what a relationship should be? Didn't you know how that that fucking hurt, and how I wanted to punch that fucktard right in his stupid face as you laughed and ever so casually touched him?"
You gasped out as you stared at him, moments of the events earlier flashing back to you. No, he was just a friend. You knew that. He knew that, too.
"I wasn't flirting, Sebastian!" You countered, a constrained sob uncontrollably coming out of you, "He was just a friend, for Christ's sake! You knew that, I worked with him before, even before I met you."
He bobbed his head, disbelief evident in his face, "Even before you met me? So does that mean you can easily choose him and just fucking set me aside like I'm just a second fucking choice? Is that what you mean to say?"
You closed your eyes shut, letting the tears flow freely to your cheeks. "No, it isn't. We were just talking...about, about stuff from work, and catching up. Nothing more! You know I love you, and it hurts when you get jealous about things you shouldn't be jealous of--"
A loud scoff from him stopped you from speaking, a hard frown on his face. He placed both of his hands on the sides of his waist, his body turned away from you. "I shouldn't be jealous? Can you even hear yourself right now? If only you could see yourself awhile ago through my eyes, maybe you'd understand how I feel. I don't even talk to other women anymore. I don't wanna be close to them because I don't want you to feel jealous. Because I know how it fucking hurts. But you...you come around and tell me that I shouldn't be after I just saw you with that guy?"
"Because I wasn't doing anything wrong!" You yelled out, frustrated to the bone, and also desperate to prove your point. "Seb, we were just talking. That's all. If that hurt you so much, and it fucking kills your ego, then I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!"
Your tears were now flowing nonstop, as you heaved deep breaths. The heavy and fast rising and falling of your chest was evident, and Sebastian could not afford to look at you at the moment.
"That's all you could say," he sighed, scoffing once again for god knows how many times, "I was there boiling in jealousy, yet there comes your man and suddenly I'm invisible. Can't believe it."
"MY man?" You shook your head, turning to him. "He was just a friend, please. I'm sorry Seb. Please...I don't want us to fight."
"If you don't want us to fight, then you never should've done that."
Sebastian motioned to walk to the door, and as he passed by you, you held onto his elbows and pulled him close. You didn't want him to go, you wanted to fix the problem right there and then. Wrapping your arms around his torso, you buried your face on his back as your tears started to fall.
He held your arms, unclasping it to break himself free. "Let go..."
"No," you sobbed, "I won't. Please. I'm so sorry, let's talk about this. Don't go."
Sebastian overpowered you and was free from your embrace in a matter of seconds, and before you knew it, the door opened and closed right before you.
-MOMENTS LATER-
You slept on your shared bed, heaving deep sighs. You fell asleep as you attempted to wait for him. But it was no use, it was already twilight yet even his shadow was nowhere in sight.
Little did you know, Sebastian strode through the hall and into your room. He opened the door quietly, finding you curled into a ball with the sheets only up to your feet. His heart broke as he looked at you. He never really meant to get jealous that bad, he was just so afraid to lose you, that you'd figure out he wasn't all you needed nor wanted and that you'd eventually change your mind. He was afraid that maybe one day, as you enjoy the company of others, you will realize that he was not worth it.
He knew, as he walked out hours ago from the fight that he was on the wrong side. He let his insecurities eat him.
Walking closer to you, he sat on the edge of the bed. He let out a deep sigh, emptying his lungs before sliding in to your side and wrapping you into his arms. He let the sweet smell of your shampoo and perfume intoxicate his senses, calming him even more as he shut his eyes close, washing away his negative thoughts about himself.
You awoke, his tight embrace making your eyes water. "Seb?"
Sebastian hummed under his breath, opening his eyes. "I'm sorry. I got really jealous, I was just so afraid of the thought of you not wanting me anymore. That perhaps you'd change your mind and realize I'm not everything like you thought I was. I'm sorry."
You tossed and turned to face him, bringing your hand up to cup his cheeks. "I love you, Sebastian. The moment I told you that, it doesn't just mean I'd love you for a couple of hours, or for a day, not just for a month, or for five years. It's forever, baby. I don't care about what you think of yourself, or what others think of you. You're the only man for me, no one can take your place, okay?"
He nodded, a small smile appearing on his face. The streaks on his blue eyes were glowing under the table side lamp, and you found it somehow comforting.
"I love you always, Seb. I love you more than your insecurities. You're the greatest man I've known, I love you for that and for whatever you are not," you smiled as you stroked his cheek and kissed his lips softly. "I'm yours, there's nothing to be afraid of."
"Just let me say I'm sorry," he smiled before kissing you back, "and I love you."
