"You're gonna ask her to marry you?"

"Wait, wait, wait. When is this happening again?"

"So that was what you guys were talking about last week at the gym..."

Maxi, Tim, and Dorian all stared at Luka and Boban with different reactions painted on their faces. Maxi was bobbing his head with a lopsided grin, Tim was slack-jawed, and Dorian was looking at Luka with wide eyes.

Luka gave them all a cheshire-esque smile, the thought already a concrete plan in his mind. He hasn't called his mother yet, nor his father about his decision but he knew he would, he just needed time and well...a bit help with his friends.

"Don't get me wrong, man," Dorian started, "that's really great. But why so sudden?"

"It's not so sudden, really. I have thought about this for months now. And it was just that day at the gym when I really decided that I really want to. I want to be with her...until I die."

"Aww," Maxi teased, "little Luka's all grown up now--ow!"

Tim playfully smacked Maxi on his forearm, and the other dramatically winced in response. "That's good news, huh. So, what're your plans?"

"You already got an engagement ring?" Dorian added.

"I never thought of the ring," Luka mumbled to himself, his mind starting to panic, "how do I know what ring to choose and if she likes it?"

"I have an idea," Maxi interjected, taking a bottle of beer from the table.

"Better be a good one." Boban teased.

"It is," the latter reassured, "how about I host a party this weekend, and you guys invite your sisters, wives, girlfriends, mothers, and whatever as long as they're the descendants of Eve? And you tell them to ask (y/n) of her opinion of what marriage and wedding should be like?"

Luka contemplated at Maxi's proposed idea. After a couple of seconds a wide grin crept its way to his lips, and he slowly nodded. He turned to look at the other men in the table with them, who were also wearing the same smile as his.

"Yeah. That could work."

"Why is Maxi always hosting parties? Shouldn't you guys be at the gym, doing lapses, or at least training?" You asked as you turned to your boyfriend, Luka, smoothing the creased part of his shirt.

He shrugged in response, "I don't know. He just likes...parties...? I guess."

"Babe, you okay?" Your eyebrows furrowed, noticing the change of his demeanor. He had been acting like that since this morning, "you're so tensed, and a bit jumpy. What's the matter?"

Luka shook his head, almost a little too much, making you even more curious, "Nothing you should be worried of. How about you go and hang out with the girls? You know, chitchats and the like."

You turned your head toward the pool, where most of the women were gathered and already laughing and having fun. You smiled at his way, your hands squeezing his shoulders. "Okay. As long as you promise me you're okay."

"I promise I'm okay," Luka chuckled awkwardly, "I feel so better. I haven't felt better like this...since...years."

You turned your head to one side, your grasp from his shoulders slipping away as he moved steps farther from you, "Luka, I--"

"I'm fine, baby," he smiled, "oh, look. They're calling you already."

You glanced at the girls, and all of them were already looking at you. You turned back to Luka, who wiggled his eyebrows, before making an awkward exit to join the men drinking beer.

You instead chose to shrug the feeling off, as you walked nearer to the women who welcomed you warmly.

"Hey, (y/n) girl, how are ya?" Dorian's girlfriend, (h/n) asked you, motioning you to sit next to her. You did so, taking the glass of juice that she offered.

"Oh, I'm fine. Never been better." You smiled, taking note of how smile-y the women around you were.

"So, we were just talking about weddings, and stuff," Tim's girlfriend spoke, "and having kids, too, when you were out with Luka awhile ago. So, what do you think of it?"

Maxi's girlfriend, Brittany, hit her with her elbow, and whispered, "You didn't have to be that straightforward."

"Why not?" She whispered back.

"Um, weddings?" You chuckled, "weddings are special for me, of course. I have been to my sister's wedding, my mom's second wedding, my brother-in-law's wedding, and I've seen them all look so happy. So, yeah it's pretty special, I guess."

"If you were to get married what would you want it to be like?" Boban's wife, Milica asked.

You hummed, twirling the glass, "Something...private? I want a small one, an intimate ceremony with close friends and family. Maybe a chapel or a garden wedding. That would be really cute."

"How about the motif?" Tim's girlfriend added.

"Okay, that's pretty specific. Are you planning one for me?" You chuckled, as you watched them all pause for a second and then laugh and shake their heads for the next.

"No, girl," Tim's girlfiend said, "My cousin's getting married and we're kind of brainstorming for some ideas. She wants something unique and a bit outlandish. But, in your case, you know...who knows?"

Milica and the other girls chuckled, and you followed suit. Yeah, who knows? You smiled, "That's really positive. Thank you."

"Oh. How about I take a look at your hand?" Dorian's girlfriend gently took your hand in hers, examining it. "We are about the same size, huh. I like rings with minimal designs, how 'bout you?"

"I like that, too. Maybe a thin ring with just a small piece of sparkling stone at the center? That would be really nice to look at."

You smiled for the second time, visualizing your finger with that kind of ring.

"Yeah, that would be a real beauty," Milica commented.

"Only if you'll excuse me first, ladies," Tim's girlfriend said, standing from her chair, "I have to go and check up on Tim. I don't want that man to go around causing trouble."

All the ladies nodded, including you. You watched her as she took fast-paced steps toward the other side of the lawn. Your eyes landed on Luka's, and he gave you a small assuring smile, to which you reciprocated. You shrugged their sudden weird questions and demeanor, for how many times that day, and focused on the usual chatter you rarely have with the ladies with you.

"Okay, I got info." She said in a low voice.

"What did she say?" Luka immediately asked.

"(Y/n) wants a small wedding. Either chapel or garden. She said she wants an intimate and private ceremony, and we had to stop asking on that part before she would realize what we were doing."

"What about the ring?" Tim asked, turning to Luka then back to his girlfriend.

She breathed and sighed, "She's a minimalist. She'd rather have a thin ring, with a small piece of sparkly stone at the center."

Luka smiled, preventing himself from looking over you. "Cool. I remember how she hates gold, because it's too flashy. So I think she'd prefer silver best."

"How about the proposal? Where would it be?" Tim's girlfriend interjected, a deep crease on her forehead. Everyone in that space knew of the plan Luka established for his marriage proposal to you, and all of them were locked in to help him.

"You'll see. As long as you keep her busy next Saturday."
