The first two days of (y/f/n)'s wedding was like a dream and very relaxing. The now married couple had planned the ceremony for two years; saved alotta money to cover for everything, and to hold the wedding in a private island in Hawaii. You were happy for her, very, and so was your boyfriend for almost three years, Christopher.

You both were her mutual friends, which was the reason you had been chosen as one of the bridesmaids, and Chris being with you. There were lots of dancing, speeches, outings, and whatnot that definitely peeled your mind off of work and city life.

"Come on, ladies!" cheered (y/f/n) in an enthusiastic voice to gather all the women in the area. She looked stunning in her haltered-mermaid wedding gown, standing on the far north of the garden, "I'm leaving in five minutes now, and I'm eager to know whose bells we're ringin' next."

"I have to go and attend to that," you excused yourself from Chris, with whom you were currently standing next to. You gave him a small peck on his lips, and in return, he gave your ass a slight tap. You chuckled, rolling your eyes at him, "Perv."

Chris did not answer, but dismissed you with a loud belly laugh. You could only shake your head at his shenanigans, knowing that you have been down for each of it the moment you guys first met.

You positioned in the far back, the other ladies already crowding near the newly-wed bride. Chris called you, and you looked at him. You saw him facing his phone at you, he smiled widely; signalling you to smile for him for a pic.

"Chris, we have a bouquet to--"

"Just one, baby," he cut you off, "so I'd have something to send to mom."

You both positioned your hands awkwardly leveled on your chest, your mouth open in a lopsided grin. You were about to respond to him about waiting 'til the wedded couple had gone for honeymoon for the picture, when something hit you straight in the face. The sound of both plastic and paper wraps, together with the rough and smooth texture of leaves and flowers made your eyes close in a not-so-painful collision of the bouquet to your skin.

It landed on your hands, in a way you didn't know how--but you were strucked. It was when you realized that it was the bouquet, the bride's bouquet.

You opened your mouth to somehow say something, your eyes stuck looking at the object clamped on your grip. You were at a loss of words when your head went up to the crowd of women staring at you, a wide grin planted on their faces.

Oh no.

At that moment it terrified you, you looked over to Chris who was slack-jawed, but there was a smile tugging at the ends of his lips.

Yet you chose to not really mind it. After all, it's just a bouquet...

Right?

"Somebody's about to be tied down soon enough," a groom's men said somewhere, "better be ready for (y/n) and Chris' babies."

There was a loud cheer everywhere, and your eyes were still on your boyfriend who was now smiling warmly at you. The smile he gave you made your heart skip a beat, you didn't know what it was, but it had your tears brimming on the sides of your eyes. You shrugged, let out an inverted grin, and waved the bouquet up in the air.

Both the bride and groom went off after the congratulations and best wishes by the guests. You found yourself staring at the bouquet in your hand, as you sat on the edge of the bed of your shared hotel room with Chris. You didn't noticed how Chris walked to you from the bathroom, already free from his tie and black coat. His white long-sleeves were unbuttoned from the top to his torso, revealing his undershirt.

He sighed, his weigh dipping down the mattress as he sat close to you. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

You diverted your gaze up to him, a furrow on your brows evident, "Weddings?"

"Not...weddings, per se," he chuckled, scratching his left brow, "but, you know, us. Me waiting at the altar, and you...wearing a beautiful white gown, walking down the aisle showered with flower petals, and other pretty things."

"You mean to say, us, getting married?" You clarified, a chuckle arose from your throat.

He nodded, placing his hand and rubbed on the small of your back, "Yeah. Us getting married. Have you?"

"Chris," you sighed, your hands grazing the soft petals of the flowers, "of course I have. It's natural for women to dream of being married to the person we love."

"Let's exclude the 'natural' thingy," he said, quoting his free hand mid-air, "I mean, had it crossed your mind simply because you want to?"

You took in a deep breath, and stared at his lovely blues. The same eyes that always gave you that warm giddy feeling each time you wake up to seeing them every morning. You'd be lying if you say you weren't terrified with the idea of marriage, in fact, both of you were. But it'd also be a lie to say you don't want to spend your whole life with the man next to you.

"Yes, Chris," you smiled, "I have. I love you. It's impossible not to."

Chris leaned in and planted a kiss on your temple, "Me, too, honestly. You know, everytime I come home from work, or from a night out with the guys, whenever I see you with that red apron on, and the smell of your cooking fanning almost every corner of the room, I have slowly made up my mind to that decision. Whenever you offer a massage, a warm bath, dancing in the kitchen or under the rain at the backyard, mundane things like watching movies, talking to you on late sleepless nights, drinking wine before going to sleep, and just simply looking at you. I have thought of it."

You sobbed, a tear flowing freely down your cheek. "Chris..."

"I didn't need three years to realize it through and through," he chuckled, a small smile on his lips, "I honestly don't know what I would do without you in my life anymore. I can't think of being married to anyone but you, only you. If it's not, then, I wouldn't have it any other way."

"So do I," you tried to hold back any more tears, but you failed, happily, "I can't imagine not being with you for all my life. I want it with you, a million times, in a million lifetimes. Just you."

You both looked into each other's eyes, a comfortable silence enveloping you two. There was a pause, as if the world you both knew did not exist at that exact moment, and all you have felt is your profound affection and love for each other.

Chris shrugged, "But I don't have the ring yet, so..."

You exploded in a hearty fit of laughter, and so did he.
