"Hey." I said as I sat down opposite Brooke.
"Hey, how was dinner with my family?"
"Decent although you weren't there."
"Sorry, what did you do?"
"I just hung out with your brother."
"Ugh, I'm getting a bit pissed, he's stealing you from me."
"I'm not going anywhere now tell me why you're moping over this Luke guy."
"He found out I slept with Josh."
"Hold on you slept with Josh?"
"Broadcast it to the whole world then."
"Sorry, but really?"
"Yeah, wasn't my brightest idea."
"I can't believe that he is a complete dickhead."
"Oh, shut up, he's big."
"Really?"
"Now you're interested?"
"Duh."
"Anyway I need to go, I told Laura I'd go shopping with her."
"I thought you didn't like Laura?"
"She's alright and her boyfriend Jake just dumped her for Maddie."
"Shit."
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Alright." I watched Brooke leave the cafeteria before grabbing my bag and heading out to the parking lot. "Sorry." Justin murmured after bumping into me.
 "What's up?"
"Oh, it's you."
"Nice to see you too."
"I'm sorry, I'm trying to avoid Brooke."
"Why?"
"She was going on about me stealing you from her."
"She gave you that lecture too?" I laughed as I sat on the wall and lit a cigarette.
"She wasn't happy."
"I can be friends with both of you jeez, I know you all love me."
"Why would you want to be friends with me?"
"Wow okay, I already thought we were friends, but you know."
"I'm sorry."
"And you're funny, nice and you look cute in drag anyway I need to go, see ya around."
"Yeah...see you around."

"Mother, I'm home!"
"In the kitchen." I dumped my bag on the stairs before making my way into the kitchen. "How was school?"
"Decent, how was work?"
"As if you actually care."
"You got me, what are you doing?" I asked as I got a drink from the refrigerator before sitting down next to her. "Looking at your baby photos."
"Ew, why?"
"Your sister wanted some for something."
"How have I gone from that to this."
"Aww, I forgot how adorable you were."
"I still am."
"Whatever you say."
"Wow, as my parent you're meant to boost my confidence."
"Oh yeah, you're so cute and adorable."
"I'm going to watch some TV anyway."
"Do you have any homework?"
"Yes."
"Are you going to do it?"
"No."
"Thought as much." I grabbed my drink and headed into the living room where I sunk onto the couch.
Half an hour later the doorbell rang. "Aaron, are you going to get the door?"
"No!" I heard my mom close the kitchen door and open the front door. I heard the buzz of voices before she put her hear round the door. "Aaron, Justin is here, he wants to talk to you."
"Alright." Moments later Justin walked in and sat down in the vacant armchair. "Hi?"
"Hey."
"Not to sound rude but why're you here?"
"Oh well, about that." Justin got up and sat down on the couch next to me.
"Okay, you're freaking me out a bit now."
"I need to tell you something."
"Okay..."
"I like you."
"Well I like you too."
"No, I mean I like like you."
"Oh...that's sweet and all but-"
"Don't patronize me, I don't want to hear it."
"I'm sorry it's just I didn't expect you to say that." Justin leaned forward and gently kissed me before I pushed him. "I can't."
"Why?"
"I just can't." I got up and made my way upstairs where I shut myself in my room and fell face first onto my bed. There I stayed until my mom woke me in the morning.
"Aaron, are you going to school today?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Just no."
"Please go, for me."
"Why?"
"I want you to get a good education."
"I don't know if I can survive the whole day."
"Please at least stay for half a day."
"Do I really have to?"
"Yes, now get up."
