"Where were you this morning?" I asked Aaron as he reached his locker.
"What?"
"You said you'd pick me up?"
"I'm sorry, something came up."
"You could have at least text me."
"Just get off my case." Aaron said as he slammed his locker shut and walked off, leaving me stood staring after him. "Trouble in paradise?" Joel asked as he came to a stop next to me. "Something like that."
"What's his deal?"
"I don't know and to be honest I don't care anymore."
I made my way down the parking lot with Joel by my side. "You want to go get some food somewhere?"
"Why not." I followed Joel over to his bike where he handed me a spare helmet. I smiled before putting it on, climbing on the bike and wrapping my arms around his waist.

I woke up Saturday morning to my mom knocking on my bedroom door. "Justin?"
"What?"
"Aaron's here, he wants to talk to you."
"Send him up then."
"He says he'd rather stay outside."
"Why?"
"I think you know why." I heard my mom go into the bathroom. I lay staring at the ceiling for a while before climbing out of bed and pulling on some clean clothes. I opened my blind and looked out at the driveway where I could see Aaron stood leaning against his car. I pulled on some shoes and made my way outside.
"I'm sorry." Aaron said as soon as he saw me.
"I'm just sick of you taking your problems out on me."
"I know and I'm sorry."
"You seem to spend a lot of time apologising."
"I know." Aaron said as he looked down.
"I think we should maybe stop seeing each other."
"What?" He asked as he looked up at me. "Why?"
"I just think it'll be better."
"But I want you, I really like you and you mean a lot to me."
"I'm sorry Aaron." I headed back inside and shut the door.
"What did he want?" My mom asked as I entered the kitchen.
"He apologised for acting like a dick yesterday."
"That's nice of him, not many guys would have apologised."
"I ended things with him."
"I thought you were happy?"
"I am, but I'm sick of being spoken to like shit when he's dealing with stuff."
"Shouldn't you have been helping him deal with this stuff  if you're dating?"
"I didn't think of that, what happens if he did just need help?"
"Stop worrying, I'm sure he's fine." I made my way into the living room and collapsed onto the couch. "What's wrong with you?" Cory asked as he sat in the armchair.
"Aaron."
"Brooke is still pissed about that, it's funny though."
"Shut up Cory." The door opened and Brooke walked, took one look and me, then left again.

"Hi Joan, is Aaron in?"
"I'm sorry love he hasn't been back since he went out earlier, can I help?"
"I just wanted to see how he was."
"Why is that love?"
"Well he's been a bit stressed lately and well, I ended things a couple of days ago, I just need to talk to him."
"I'll tell him to call you."
"Thanks." I watched Joan close the door before making my way to the hill where I found Aaron sat staring out across the city. "I'm sorry." I said as I sat down next to him. He didn't say anything. "I care about you."
"You don't have to say that."
"I do Aaron, I care way too fucking much."
"You don't have to."
"I'm sorry, I was just fed up with you being pissed all the time and taking it out on me." Once more he didn't say anything. "Then my mom told me instead of pushing you I should have offered to be there for you instead."
"I need to go." Aaron said as he stood up and dusted himself down.
"Please don't go." I said as I got up myself.
"There's nothing left to say."
