I shut my locker to find, Tom Potter stood there. "I saw you looking at Ricky in the changing rooms."
"I have no idea what you're going on about Tom."
"You're just a pervert."
"Just go find someone else to pick on."
"I think I'm just fine talking to you faggot."
"What was that?" Aaron spat has he pinned Tom against the locker. "Go on, repeat it, I dare you." Tom shook his head and Aaron let go. "You better go before I change my mind about punching you in the face." Tom turned on his heel and rushed off in the opposite direction as the crowd of people, who had gathered to watch, went back to what they were doing. "You alright?" Aaron asked as he started walking with me. "I'm fine, you didn't have to do that."
"That guy deserved it."
"Yeah well thanks."
"Are you sure you're alright?" Aaron asked once again as he followed me into the bathroom. I just nodded and looked at my reflection in the mirror. "You're avoiding me, in fact you've been avoiding me for a week now."
"I know, I'm sorry, I just didn't want it to be awkward." I replied as I turned to face Aaron.
"Yeah well, it's forgotten."
"Thanks, I just have a lot on my mind."
"Like what?" Aaron asked as he jumped up and sat in the windowsill. "You can trust me."
"It's a guy, I really like him but he's way out of my league."
"Ooh, is he fit?" I nodded, "does he have a big dick?" I could feel my cheeks heating up, I knew I was bright red. "Aww you're blushing." Aaron teased.
"Shut up." I said as I turned away. "Anyway, he doesn't like me, and never will."
"Well whoever he is doesn't know what he's missing out on, you're great."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I've known you ages and well you're one of the nicest people out there."
"Thanks."
"So does this mystery guy happen to be the one Brooke said you wrote about in your diary?"
"It's not a diary, it's a journal."
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say." Aaron said as he rolled his eyes.
"But yeah it is."
"Does he have a name?"
"I've said too much, I need to go." I grabbed my bag off the floor and made my way to the door before turning to face Aaron one last time. "Thank you."
"Welcome." I left the bathroom, letting the door swing shut behind me, before heading to the bus bay.
By the time I got there, the last bus had gone. I sighed, chucked my bag on the floor, and sat on the wall. "Want a lift?" I looked up at Aaron and nodded before climbing into the passenger seat of his car. "You're not having a great day, are you?"
"Not really."

We came to a stop at the end of the driveway at my house. "Thanks."
Aaron smiled at me and before I could change my mind, I kissed him. He pushed me away once again, "I told you, I can't."
"Why not?"
"Brooke."
"What she doesn't know won't hurt her."
"I really can't, she'd murder me."
"You're scared of my sister?"
"No."
"Prove it."
"I can't, just get out."
"Well at least you know his name now." I picked up my bag, shut the car door and headed down the driveway, not looking back.
I let myself into the house and dropped my bag in the hallway. "There you are, your bus was due back twenty minutes ago."
"I missed it, Aaron gave me a lift." My mom sighed before going back to preparing dinner.
"Go get washed and changed, dinner will be ready in ten." I headed upstairs to my room and sighed as I fell face-first onto my bed.
"What's up with you?" Brooke asked as she walked into my room and sat down on the chair at my desk. "It's stupid."
"Tell me."
"I kissed this guy and he pushed me away saying he couldn't." Brooke started laughing. "Don't laugh at me!"
"I can't help it; you've never been good with guys."
"Just go, I can't be bothered with your bullshit right now."
"Ooh." Brooke laughed once more as she left my room, closing the door behind her.
I dragged myself off my bed, got changed and washed before heading back downstairs where everyone was sat at the dinner table. "I wondered when you'd emerge." My mom said as I took my seat. "Oh, and Brooke I did phone Aaron and ask if he wanted to join us, but he said he couldn't which is a shame."
"I'll message him and see why later." We said Grace before beginning the meal.
Later that evening I made my way upstairs to bed. I stripped down to my boxers and climbed under the covers into my cold bed. After a couple of hours, of tossing and turning, I decided I couldn't sleep. Thoughts kept whirring around in my head. I climbed out of bed and pulled on some clothes off my floor before creeping downstairs. I slipped on my shoes and headed into the garden. I went through the small gate and walked along the river until I came to the hill. I climbed up to find someone sat under the tree already.
"Couldn't sleep either?" I asked as I sat down beside Aaron.
"Not really."
"My mom was disappointed that you couldn't come to dinner."
"I couldn't after earlier."
"I'm sorry."
"Mhm."
"Have you told Brooke?"
"No, and I'm not planning to."
"Thanks."
"It's not to protect you, it's to save my own skin."
"Oh, okay."
"Gabe wants to ask you out."
"He does?"
"Yeah, but you have to say no."
"Why?"
Aaron leaned forward and kissed me. His hand moved to my waist before he pulled away. "You're mine." He muttered.
"Huh?" I whispered.
"You're hard to say no to." He said before kissing me once more.

"BROOKE, AARON IS HERE!" My Mom shouted up the stairs after she saw Aaron's car pull into the driveway. I grabbed some toast and sat down at the table to eat it. "Cory open the door for Aaron." Cory sighed as he headed into the hallway. "Justin hurry up or you will miss the bus again."
"BROOKE!" My mom shouted once more. "Morning Aaron." She said as she stopped the washing to hug him. "I was upset that you avoided my cooking last night."
"I had a lot of stuff I had to deal with."
"Well you better have dinner with us tonight."
"Definitely." Aaron sat down in a vacant seat as Brooke waltzed into the kitchen.
"Brooke, you're not wearing that." Mom sighed.
"Why not?"
"You can see everything, go and get changed right now." Brooke huffed before stomping back upstairs. "I'm so sorry Aaron, our family must be so chaotic compared to yours."
"That's why I love being here."
"Justin, grab your bag and get out that door."
"Fine." I scraped back my chair, dropped my plate into the sink and headed into the hallway where I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my bag. "What happened?" My Mom moaned.
"What?"
"You're shoes, they're filthy."
"They're fine mom."
"Just get out that door." I swung my bag onto my shoulder and headed down the driveway to the bus stop.
