Zak was upstairs sleeping when his sister came home. She was downstairs, cooking dinner, since their mom would be home late, and she felt bad for Zak. Yes. She cooked dinner. At 5 pm. For them, this was an early dinner. (I eat dinner at super random times, what about y'all?) She started making his favorite meal.

Nick wished he was able to sabotage the meal, not to be mean to his sister, but to ruin it for Zak. Sure he felt, like, 2% bad for Zak's dad dying, but Zak killed him, so the other 98% didn't care.

He felt incredibly bored. Nick always felt bored. After he died, that is. He was always alone. No one could see him or talk to him. And the only person who could see and talk to him was the person he hated most in the world. The one who took his life. No one has the right to take the life from another person. Nick knew that. Either way, when Zak was asleep, Nick was alone. He was very lonely now.

He missed his friends. He missed George, he missed Dream, he missed Wilbur, Tubbo, Fundy, Tommy, Darryl, Vincent, Finn, Dave, Phil, all of them. (I got too lazy to name anyone else). He wished he could see them, he could talk to them, see them smile, or make them laugh, just one last time. That's all he wanted. He wanted that more than he hated Zak.

But, at least he could watch them. Only when Zak was with them, but he could still watch them. It made him happy to know they were doing okay. But it made him sad and angry to see how sad they were about his disappearance. He was mad at Zak, more mad than he had ever been. Zak took him away from his friends, which ended up trapping them with each other.

Zak was right. That was why Nick was crying earlier. He didn't know why Zak even left the note with the orange juice, but he didn't really care either.

Suddenly, Zak's sister was at the bottom of the staircase and yelling up the stairs, "Zak!! Come down and eat! I made your favorite!" THEYRE Is what she yelled. Nick went into Zak's room, Zak was still asleep. He could just let him sit there. 'But maybe.....' he started to think to himself.

"Zak! Wake up!" He yelled. Zak groaned and sat up. "What?" He asked annoyed. "Your sister just yelled for you, she made you food." Nick said. Zak looked at Nick a little shocked. "Uhh... thanks.." Zak said before getting up and going downstairs.

'Why did he wake me up?' Zak thought. Why would Nick wake Zak up if Nick knew it was so Zak could eat his favorite food. Was it so Zak couldn't sleep? Sleep didn't matter much anyway. Zak always went to sleep late either way, so waking him up didn't do much of anything.

Nick doubted Zak, but still thought. (This is when the song at the top came on). Nick thought maybe, just maybe...

'If I bother him half the time, and don't bother him the other half, then maybe... maybe I can get him to like me enough... to where I can convince him not to hurt anyone. I don't want him to hurt any more innocent people. If he likes me (as a friend) he will listen to me. Maybe I can stop him from hurting more people. But I can't be completely nice to him, my morals don't let me be that kind to murderers.' Nick thought.

He would still bother Zak most of the time, but every once in a while he'd be nice. He just wanted to make sure Zak didn't hurt anyone else. He wanted to protect people. Then it hit him. 'What if he kills another one of our friends?' Nick thought. He couldn't let him. He'd have to get close enough to stop him.

Nick went downstairs. Zak has just gotten his plate. Nick did the thing he did with the ice cream and the orange juice, so he could eat whatever Zak was eating too. Zak had to get rid of the original orange juice and note as well, because Nick couldn't properly drink the juice or touch the note, he could only grab it and pull it towards him, to make some sort of ghost juice, but it didn't effect the actual orange juice.

Zak's sister was good at cooking. She cooked a lot, as a hobby. He dad loved her cooking. She used to be horrible at cooking, but her dad always said, "Practice makes perfect." And so she would keep trying, until she got it right. Her and her dad were both so happy when she first successfully made a good meal.

Zak loved her cooking as well. It tasted like... home. Whenever he ate food that she had made for him before but someone else had cooked it, it always tastes bland. Hers was significantly better.

Nick thought her cooking was good too, not that he could tell her. He wondered how a nice girl who was amazing at cooking could have the literal spawn of Satan as a brother. That's what he thought Zak was anyway. He was glad she didn't turn out like him.

After Zak finished eating, (Nick finished way earlier), he headed back upstairs, Nick followed. Zak got a call, so he answered.

(The song short king anthem just came on and I was like "man this is such a good tune", but then I listened to the lyrics. o_o)

The call was from Dream. "Hey Zak, George, Darryl, Vincent, and I were going to the forest tonight, there's a clearing in the middle with flowers and a pond. It's really nice, do you want to go?" He asked. Zak smiled, not that Dream could see it. "Yeah, sure, it sounds like fun!" He responded. It was only 5:43 right now, so he still had time before it was too dark.

Nick was happy. He used to go to that spot with George and Dream all the time. He knew that it would make them happy to see the pretty landscape, and hang out with their friends. He was glad, he would get to see them smile.
