Skeppy's P.O.V. || • Sidewalk East Of Skeppy's House •

As I continued walking to the forest I heard some voices as I passed by a familiar house. I looked behind me after I had already passed the house. Darryl shut the door to his house behind him, before looking up at me.

"Oh hey Zak! Are you coming to the clearing in the forest too?" He asked. I nodded. "Awesome! Let's walk together!" He said. I smiled. "Yeah, sure." I said happily. Darryl ran over to me and we continued walking.

"So, why do you think they wanted to go there at night?" He asked. I shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe they just want to kill us in the woods." I said. Darryl laughed nervously. Nick was there, obviously, and he just stared at me with a look of "Oh, like you wouldn't do that."

"Haha... they aren't thought right?" Darryl asked. I laughed. "I highly doubt it, plus if they do, don't worry, I'll protect you." I said with a smirk. He giggled. "Thank you Zak!" He said. I smiled brightly at him, and he happily smiled back.

After just a little bit we got to the edge of the forest. We walked in, we would need to walk for another 10 minutes before getting to the clearing. We walked for 7 minutes before Darryl stopped and stomped on some dirt. I looked at him confused. "What're you doing?" I asked. "Oh, I don't know, it's just kinda weird, this small little space of dirt is softer than the rest." He said.

'Oh no.'

I had to try to not look nervous while he stomped on that dirt but it was hard. Nick smiled evilly. "Hahaha.... ain't this place familiar Zak...? He's so close to finding where his missing friend is..." Nick said, referring to himself as the "missing friend". I mentally cussed him out.

"Ohh.. uh, well, maybe someone poured water on it or something." I said. Darryl shrugged. "Yeah maybe." He said as he continued walking forward, and ahead of me. I let out a mental sigh of relief.

'Oh thank god-' I thought. Nick groaned. "You just got lucky." He said. I rolled my eyes and ran to catch up to Darryl. We walked for another five minutes. Nick was so lucky, he didn't need to walk.

After around 3 minutes of walking we finally saw the clearing, we ran over to it and finally we weren't surrounded by trees. Dream and Vincent were already there, George had to pick something up before going. Darryl and I went over and sat by the pond with Vincent and Dream.

We waited for another 5-6 minutes before George showed up. By now it was 7:04 pm. "So, now that everyone is here, why are we here?" I asked. Dream pointed up to the sky, which had just started to get darker. "There's going to be a meteor shower tonight. I wanted you guys to see it too."

"Aw, that's so nice!" Darryl said with a smile. Dream smiled back. He wasn't wearing his mask. A little while later it was completely dark and the meteor shower had started. We all stared in awe at the meteors souring through the sky. Dream smiled sadly.

"Nick would've loved to see this. He always wanted to see a meteor shower." Dream said, with a sad voice. George nodded sadly. "Well, maybe, wherever he is, he's seeing it. And smiling that he finally got to see one." Darryl said. They both smiled at Darryl. "Yeah, maybe." George said.

Little did they know Nick was literally right next to them. Nick sighed. It was obvious why. He was sad. He wished he could be able to sit there and admire it with them, but truly, the only person he can admire it with is me. Because they can't see, nor hear him.

"Zak.... can you please just... just tell them it'll be okay.." Nick said. I mentally sighed. I didn't want to do any favors for him, but I didn't want him to annoy me. So I might as well.

"Hey, everything will be okay, Nick is watching this with us, I just know it. And he would be so very happy to see you all happy. So be happy, he wouldn't want you worrying about it him. I'm sure he's fine, wherever he is." I said. They all smiled and nodded.

'Yeah, whenever he is, he is definitely not fine.' I thought to myself. I knew Nick would hear that but I doubt he would care at this point. "Thank you.." I heard Nick whisper. 'No problem ghost boy.' I thought. Aw hell yeah, he finally isn't annoying me, now I have one free meteor showers plus no Nick annoying the hell out of me. I should cherish this moment, it might not happen again.

"Hey, I wonder where the meteors go.." Vincent said. "I never thought about that." Said Dream. "Imagine they just come down to earth but turn into a bunch of tiny little pebbles or like, make fire or something." I said. Darryl stared at me. I looked at him confused. "What?" I asked.

"Zak that's almost exactly what happens. They come down so fast, and when they enter earths atmosphere they burn up, which causes the streaks we see in the sky during meteor showers. If they don't disintegrate then they turn into very small rocks/pebbles and just fall to the ground." Darryl said. I sat in shock.

"Even Zak is shocked that he's smart. Who would've thought." Vincent said. "Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!" I yelled back at him. "Oh nothing~" He replied.

We just talked and play fighter for the rest of the meteor shower. It was nice.

I liked it.
