Chapter 61: Enter Bartolomeo the Cannibal!

Immediately, the sound of cheering could be heard in the crowd as everyone cheered for Jesus Burgess. Tulip and Ocarina were in the audience wondering why they were cheering for him. Ocarina was slightly confused then looked over to Tulip.

"Hey," Ocarina asked, "any idea who this Jesus Burgess guy is?"

"Unfortunately I do," Tulip replied, "he's a member of the Blackbeard Pirates."

Ocarina's eyes widen from Tulip's response, "You mean THE Blackbeard Pirates?!"

"Yes," Tulip nodded, "I know of them because they were responsible for the death of Whitebeard two years ago during the Paramount War...I was there through the whole thing..."

Ocarina covered her mouth hearing what Tulip mentioned, "But with someone who is a member of the Blackbeard Pirates participating in the tournament, I can't imagine how Kira nor Lula would be able to face him."

Suddenly the sound of cheers began to turn into silences and whimpers. Ocarina and Tulip looked around wondering why the cheering stopped. 

"Why did it get quiet all the sudden," Ocarina wondered.

Tulip looked over and noticed a tall man with braided blue hair wearing a hat making a scene, she squinted her eyes as she quickly recognized him from the bounty poster.

"Can't say," Tulip answered, "but I have a feeling someone said something they shouldn't have said during the tournament."

"Medical Team," someone called out, "Give aid to the injured of Block A."

Kira and Lula watched the contestants who participated in the tournament be carried away in stretchers as the next battle was about to commence. Lula had a sinking feeling in her stomach watching the injured being carried out as she gazed at Kira who had a blank expression look on her face unshaken by this.

"Kira," Lula spoke, "are you sure you still want to go on with this?"

Kira nodded, "If it means obtaining Ace's fruit and killing everyone here, then yes. I'm not leaving until it's in my hands."

Lula's eyes widen from Kira's response. Then again, she knew that once Kira's mind was set on something, there was no way of changing her mind. Kira noticed Luffy in the distance and once again felt the urge to speak with him until a very tall man approach him that caught her attention. It was a  tall man with tan skin and short, unkempt blond hair. His attire consisted of a pair of black sunglasses, two scars, one across each side of his face, a short sleeved shirt with his jolly roger on the back painted over with a cross which was left open to display his new tattoo  on his chest. 

"Hey," the tall man spoke.

Luffy looked up at the man, "Huh?"

"I'm not blind. No matter how you disguise yourself, I can't help recognizing the face of the guy, who put a blot on my record!"

Luffy's eyes widen the moment he recognized the man's face, "You! Your name was...Maro."

"Bellamy," Bellamy corrected.

"Oh, yeah, Bellamy," Luffy remembered, "why are you here?!"

Kira listened to the conversation as she stood there watching. She was a bit curious about Bellamy. She hadn't seen him before out a sea and with his stature, he looked much taller than Kid, she thought.

"No particular reason," Bellamy replied, "I can be wherever I want. On top of that, Doflamingo has been my pirate hero since I was a kid. I have no interest in the Flame-Flame Fruit but I have my own reason to win thing!"
