I’m not exactly sure how this case comes to be, here at The Crimson Star newspaper we dive deep into the cases that are either brought to us from friends or family members, or we find out from sudden news reports or calls that we get to help; and the majority of the time, we do what we need to uncover the hidden lies or covered up pieces of evidence that help close the case we are solving, but what people don’t truly know is that we are doing this to get people to understand we will not stop until we get the answers that can get our cases closed. That being said, let’s get onto the case, eighteen-year-old Adam and his girlfriend, Cinder, where out on what seems to be a date. They were watching the sunset as it had fallen down and were said to go out on midnight walks afterwards, the loving couple did this every Friday, because that is when they had their first free day of the weekend, this couple didn’t want to be lazy and sleep in for the days to signal the start of the weekend- it’s not how they were- Adam had mentioned to Cinder that he was feeling slightly dizzy and ill, but he was fine to keep on walking with her as he didn’t get to see her that happy very much. As Cinder went through a period of time when she didn’t even get out of bed, lost interest on walking with Adam, this was said to be from depression and grieving from her parents’ passing a few days prior.
As the shy and awkward couple kept on walking through the dead of night, Cinder brought up how she thought she was being followed but blamed her anxiety on the issue, she had previously stated that she did tell her boyfriend about her paranoia, and he had told her to stay close to him and not make any sudden movements as he had also thought someone was stalking them on their walk. They wouldn’t know that this walk would be the last one they ever went on together, as they went by the shut cafes they noticed that the people who were walking behind them were extremely close in distance and were holding something that Cinder didn’t make out, not in time anyway. As the couple approached midway street they rounded a corner and once they did, thunder struck. Adam was struck behind his head multiple times, catching him off guard and pulling him down to the floor, he groaned in severe agony once they punched and kicked him numerous times, smashing his head onto the concrete floor, he became unconscious after a couple of minutes and then they started on Cinder, gripping her lovely red silk locks they pulled on them over and over again, but then started punching her too and telling her how they know how good she would take it, which made Cinder panic and tragically scream. This made their attackers laugh and hit her head against the wall that she had fallen into. The Crimson Star knew that with these incidents it would scare the town that we all have made our homes in, we acted fast against this case, but like the police also came back empty handed, that was until we found traces of Belladonna, also known as deadly nightshade, was found in Adams body, after we introduced the autopsy report to our eyes.
This substance had killed him slowly, basically making him drown from the inside out, but because of the multiple punches to the head- his motor skills had declined and he was paralysed in his own body, his body was on fire but he couldn’t even scream; he was forced to watch his girlfriend being raped and subsequently murdered, and he couldn’t even turn his head away from the tragic scene. This case was horrific, but it got worse once we found out that Cinder had been stabbed in the chest three times and still had been tortured and forced to comply with having sex with the murderers. From the amount of blood we found on the scene and from Cinders statement which she had given to us when she was alive in the hospital, the men had raped her numerous times each, even when she was bleeding out, obviously this had caused her an excruciating amount of pain, but she had stayed alive, she said that something about being killed in the streets made her want to keep living- nobody knows what kind of monsters there on the streets.
As the Crimson Star was already investigating this case, we believed that this wouldn’t happen again, however the follow up events went the opposite way than we had wanted it to. As one of our investigators were searching through some of the older files that we had solved and some of the older cold cases that we had not managed to clear yet- she found herself in a very awful situation. Nina Copper, one of our finest investigators who had been working with us for many years, had been trapped and cornered by the same men that had killed Cinder and Adam, they had kept Nina alive just for fun, but had done the same to her like they had to Cinder, her injuries had eventually killed her and she had been bleeding out for quite a while before her investigator partner, Connor, had found her clutching her chest, naked and bruised.
Only two hours later she had passed away, the injuries she had sustained and the amount of pain she was in was all too much for her fragile body to handle, and she will be forever missed by The Crimson Star, her friends and her family. This makes the case ever more important for us to close and get justice, this isn’t just a murder and one thing for sure we sure managed to grieve and get justice for our fallen friend. Nina had been one of the best, and for that she deserves the justice we are sure to get her.
And that’s exactly what we did, before they could attack again, we set up a trap, and they had run their massive egos right into it. This trap was designed and the scene was thoroughly educated enough to get them into a corner like they had done with Nina, they had been caught. They had attacked, murdered, raped and now we can get them back with sentencing and justice, the only way that we could for our friend, Cinder and Adam. We hope that the amount of justice we had gotten for these people was enough for them to peacefully rest, the three men who had done these attacks each had been given over one hundred years to rot in Ice Vail jail, the biggest jail that we gladly send all of the murderers to, the attackers have their rights, but they do not get the right to bail or probation. They have done their crime, now they can do their time, after all they do deserve it.
We will miss and mourn our friend and co worker and we hope that Nina, Cinder and Adam all rest in peace. We will be back soon, after all, just because we are grieving, doesn’t mean crimes will stop. Life keeps on going even if you have stopped.
We hope we do not lose any other friends or family, but that time will eventually come, so make sure every day is valued and that you managed to do the best you could do, even if that’s just a small thing, if you love somebody, tell the, if you love something, stick to it, do not lose hope, because it does indeed get better.
Have a nice week, see you soon,
The Crimson Star
