When Seve saw me, he cleared his throat and behaved. Bahagya n'yang nilayuan ang katabing babae at kumuha ng isang inumin sa mesa.

Kumibot ang kilay ko at napa-irap bago umupo sa tabi ni Ynna na mukhang natahimik dahil kasama rin namin sa table si Zarin Dela Costa.

Zarin looks like she's waiting for someone, though. She's not interacting with anyone which is not new because I know that socializing is not her thing. Si Vaughn, mukhang occupied dahil sa mga kausap.

I sat quietly as I listened to everybody's chitchats. 'Yon nga lang, napunta ang atensyon ko kay Ynna nang tumayo s'ya at lumapit kay Vaughn. She laughed with him for a bit and whispered something to him. Vaughn looked at Ynna and nodded before they stood up and went to the dance floor.

I shrugged before I took a glass of drink and sipped on it. I'm just waiting for a chance to leave. Should I contact our driver already?

Pinanood ko ang pag-alis ni Ynna pero nakuha ng babaeng kasama ni Seve ang atensyon ko nang tumayo rin ito at iniwan si Seve. I watched the girl leave.

Lumipat lang ang atensyon ko kay Zarin nang bigla rin s'yang tumayo at mukhang didiretso palabas. Allen stood up too and told her something before they left together.

Where are they going? I didn't know that Allen and Zarin are close? I frowned and decided to just ignore them. Siguro, dapat na umalis na ako para maka-uwi na.

Iniwas ko na lang ng tingin ko mula kina Zarin pero natigilan ako nang tumama ang mga mata ko sa 'di kalayuang table. I frowned.

No. He said they are at Iea's debut?

"Dance?"

Napalingon ako sa gilid ko at nagulat nang maabutan ang nakatayong si Seve na naglalahad ng kamay sa'kin. He's smiling at me na para bang wala s'yang kasamang ibang babae kanina.

I pursed my lips and looked at his hand. Inangat ko ulit ang tingin sa kan'ya.

It's dark in here and a bit stuffy too but I can't deny that he looks handsome tonight. However, I couldn't shrug off what I saw earlier. He's with someone earlier. Sino 'yon? New fling? I rolled my eyes.

Nang hindi ko kinuha ang kamay n'ya, umupo s'ya sa tabi ko at hinarap ako habang inilalagay ang braso sa sandalan ng couch na inuupuan naming dalawa.

I got a whiff of his expensive perfume. May halong amoy ng alak 'yon at sigarilyo. Kanina pa ba sila nina Zarin dito? I heard they had lunch earlier. Hindi na kami sumama ni Ynna kanina dahil hindi kami interesado.

"She's just a friend," Seve tried to move closer.

I sighed and looked at the glass of alcohol I was holding. Tinamaan ng strobe lights ang baso. I closed my eyes and sighed.

"I don't care about your girls," malamig kong sinabi.

Hindi ko tiningnan si Seve at iginawi na lang ang tingin sa ibang bagay. I tried to look at the other table again but I couldn't see what I saw earlier.

It was Lael... Sa buhok, tindig, at paraan ng pag-ngiti sa kausap, it's him. O baka namamalik-mata lang ako? Maybe I like to be with him and Caleb so bad that I'm hallucinating that they're here.

"They are not my girls, Zen. You're the only girl for me," Seve mumbled and tried to hold my hand.

Bumalik ang atensyon ko sa kan'ya dahil do'n. I sighed and looked at our hands.

Whenever he held my hand before, I would always feel nervous. Pero ngayong napagmamasdan ko ang mga kamay naming dalawa, I realized how much... it felt wrong. He used this hand to hold somebody else's. He used this hand to comfort somebody else. It's a bit... disgusting.
