chapter ten.

dillon's pov.

it was finally tuesday. i had been stressing over if i got the role or not this whole weekend and yesterday and, i'm finally about to find out. my friends had been really good at reassuring me on my audition, tucker and torey too but, i can't help but feel nervous still. there are many of talented girls that go to this school and that have already been in many productions of shows. i'm really starting to think the highest role i could get is a background character at this point.

it was currently 7:55am and isaiah and vienna was walking with me to the drama room to see the cast list. savannah and hudson wanted to be here but, they were both running late so, they couldn't. isaiah and vienna were doing a really good job at calming me down though.

when we got outside of the drama room, we saw a couple of different people waiting around, definitely to see the cast list. 

we also saw all of the immortals, probably to see if jade got the part which, i'm sure she did.

it was now 7:59 and miss.becking should be coming out any minute now.

"god, this is so much anticipation. i swear if i had breakfast i could probably throw up right now." isaiah said.

"yeah isaiah, i feel you on that." i said sarcastically, giving him a, really?, face.

just as isaiah was about to respond, we heard the drama doors opening. we all look over to see miss.becking.

"okay boys and girls. here is the cast list! now, before i let all of you see, i just wanted to say how proud i was of all of you. you each had something very unique about yourselves. now, weather you get the role you wanted, a better one, or one you had no interest in, please just try to be positive about this. i can't wait for this upcoming semester." miss becking said as she taped the paper to the door and then walked back into her classroom.

everyone stood around for a minute, seeming scared to look at the list, i mean that's why i wasn't the first running up to it. a couple students i recognized that were in the drama club went first to look at it.

"come on dillon, we will go up with you! the answer is right there!" vienna said, holding my hand and smiling at me. i nodd my head as us 3 walk up to the paper. as we walked up, we saw the immortals walking away from the paper. i looked over at callan and he was just giving me a smirk. uh-oh, did i not get it?

"i can't look." i said as i closed my eyes right as i got up to the paper, "you guys let me know, am i going to be happy or embarrassed." i continued.

"DILLON OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES! YOU GOT IT!" i heard isaiah say as he and vienna were shaking me back and forth in excitement.

i immediately opened my eyes as soon as i heard what isaiah said and scanned solely just for satine's name and what student was named after it, almost not believing what he said.

SATINE............... DILLON VEAMS.

i read on the paper.

IT WAS TRUE! I GOT IT!

"HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT!" i said to vienna and isaiah as they were hugging me.

we moved out of the way so that the last couple of people could look at the paper. they both kept hyping me up and vienna started to text in our group chat, letting hudson and savannah know that i got it. 

"dillon! congratulations!" i heard tucker say as he gave me a hug.

"thank you tucker!" i said, giving him a hug back.

"seriously you killed it dillon, great job." jade said, which honestly surprised me.

"thanks jade! you had an amazing auditon!" i said, smiling softly at her.

"so veams, looks like we will be getting a but closer this year." callan said.

"umm, what do you mean?" i said, genuinely confused.

"oh, did you not look at the whole cast list?" callan said with a smirk growing on his face.

i continued to have a confused look on my face as i look over at vienna and isaiah as we all turn around and walk back to the cast list.
