"dillon, wake up." i heard while someone was pushing my side. i open my eyes to see isaiah, crouched over me waiting for me to wake up.

"what?" i asked him, rubbing my eyes slightly.

"why are you asleep by yourself at the park." he asked me. i had already remembered that i fell asleep in the park but, i just now realized that besides isaiah, i was alone. no callan. i wonder where he went.

"isaiah, are you really asking me that question." i said. the whole group knew i had slept in the park from time to time so, i was curious why he was asking me.

"i mean, i figured you would sleep at hudson's. or he would sleep here with you." he said. i then sat up, not fully but where i wasn't fully laying on the ground anymore.

"i got dropped off here, hudson had some plans of his own." i said. i was trying to not be upset with hudson. i mean, he was just enjoying his night. i was just annoyed that he decided to drink without telling me, and that he left me by the pool when he said he would be right back.

"what? what do you mean? who dropped of you?" isaiah started with the questions but, i wasn't in the mood. i stood up, ignoring his questions and we both started to walk towards my house in silence.

"come on dill, talk to me." he said, finally breaking the silence.

"hudson got drunk so he couldn't take me home, i got a ride from a friend." i said simply. not wanting to tell him callan drove me home.

"well, who drove you home?" he asked me.

"does it matter?" i asked, he just shrugged.

"that's so annoying hudson drank, he knew he was supposed to drive you home. i'm sorry dillon, vienna and i should've just waited with you or taken you home." he said. i could feel the guilt in his voice and it warmed my heart with how much he cared and how much he was worried.

"oh shut up isaiah. i would've forced you to go home anyway." i said as we both laughed slightly.

"speaking of, how was your night with vienna." i asked him, nudging his side slightly trying to tease him. he just smiled and started to shake his head slightly.

"it was a lot of fun, vienna is a cool girl but, we both knew that." he said, his smile still very present on his face.

"yes, you're very right." i said. i looked over at him and again, his goofy, love struck grin was still shining on his face. he was definitely not in the moment and, i was just so happy for my two absolute best friends. i've always rooted for them so, that fact it was actually happening made me so happy.

the rest of the car ride was filled with a little bit of talking but, mostly jamming out to some of our favorite songs. isaiah was just the perfect guy, i've never ever been interested in him but, i always knew that he was just everything i want, and well what every girl wants in a guy.

he was smart, lowkey a feminist, kind, funny, attractive, and just the most down to earth guy you could ever met. he was so nice to everyone he met, even the immortals for the most part, and he just always kept such an effect of people.

"are you sure you want to stay here? i'm about to head over to hudson's." he said as we pulled in front of my tiny, rundown house.

"it's okay, everyone is out right now thankfully and, the last place i would want to do is see hudson right now." i said, smiling slightly at him. he didn't fight me on my decision and just said goodbye, and that he would see me tomorrow probably.

as i walked into my home, i was relieved to see i was correct, everyone was out.

[a/n : i'm honestly not sure if i have said anything about dillon's family yet, like specifically lol so, if what i said next is wrong please let me know lol i couldn't find anything]
