Lexi's P.O.V.

I'm still sitting in the police station. I was taken back into a separate room away from everyone else right away; where I sat and waited.

The door opened and in walked my father, two police officers and my father's lawyer.

"Sweetheart, are you alright?" He asked, giving me a hug.

"Yes. I'm fine! Thanks to Lucas and his men."

"Governor, We have to ask Alexis some questions now, so can you please step outside for this? Her lawyer can stay." The older police officer asked.

"Yes, Thank you for letting me see her." He gave me a kiss and walked out of the room.

"Alexis, I'm detective Dean Jensen and this is Detective Jack Morgan. Can you tell us what happened tonight at the park?"

"Yes. Lucas and I were out on a date, when the man came up and started screaming horrible things at us..." I proceeded to tell them everything that he had said leading up to the shooting.

"He reached for the gun, and was bringing it up in my direction when I heard a gun go off. That's when the man fell to the floor and you all showed up."

"Alexis, the man your boyfriend shot, was John Summers. There was no gun on John or anywhere near his body when we got there."

"Lucas didn't shoot John, and that's impossible. I saw the gun as he was bringing it up."

He leaned forward and folded his arms together. "Sometimes in situations like these, we think we see something, when we really didn't. Our minds have a weird way of playing tricks on us. Isn't it possible, it was a stick or just his hand that moved in the right direction making it look like a weapon?"

"I'm not stupid, and I'm insulted with the way you're talking to me. No, it wasn't a stick... I know what I saw."

"I never said you were stupid Alexis, but the fact is there was no weapons recovered."

"You need to go back out there, I know it's there."

"The way it's looking, your boyfriend's shot and unarmed man-"

"I told you, he didn't shoot him."

"Then who did Alexis?"

The last words that Lucas said to me played back into my head. "I didn't see, but Lucas was standing in front of me. I know it wasn't him."

This officer rolled his eyes at me, I now realized that anything I was to say to him he wasn't going to believe me.

"Ms.?" The other officer decided to speak.

"Witnesses say there was an altercation at the restaurant you ate at before you went to the park?"

"Oh, well I didn't see what it was about but some of Lucas's guys said that there was a man outside that was saying threatening things towards me."

"Was this the same man as the park?" Detective Jack asked.

"I'm not sure, you would have to ask one of the other guys?"

"Why do you think this person was threatening you?"

I started laughing hysterically, "I have no idea? It's not the first time something like this has happened."

"What do you mean?" Detective Morgan asked.

My father's lawyer piped in, "Lexi, don't answer that question."

I looked at him, "Why not?"

All he did was shake his head, warning me not to tell. I rolled my eyes, "I went to the bathroom before we left. When I came out of the bathroom, there was a note taped to the wall that said; I'm coming for you. That isn't the first threat like that either."

"Why haven't you come forth with all this stuff before?" Officer Jensen asked.

"All the times before this, ask my father! As for today, I'm telling you everything that happened. It can't be a coincidence that I get a threatening letter, a man causing a scene outside the restaurant and then this guy at the park all in the same night... Oh my God!"

"What?" Detective Morgan asked.

"It's him, all of this... it's him."

"Who, Alexis?"

"My stalker! He warned me that if I didn't end things with Lucas he would get rid of him, this is all a set up because he's coming for me."

Officer Morgan kept looking at me, like he wanted to say something but didn't.

"We can talk about that another time, but right now we need to get the facts about this shooting. I think that's all we have for you right now, you're free to go home with your father now. We'll call you with any more questions."
