21- The club

Lexi's P.O.V.

"Babe, I'm having second thoughts about going to the club tonight, I just feel we are purposely pissing this guy off."

"Well, that's exactly what we're trying to do. Hopefully he slips up, and we can get him. We are surrounded by my men, Jack's going, plus my dad's men will be all over that club too."

I looked at him, "If something were to happen to me and I don't mean just tonight… make sure Kennedy's safe."

He came up, wrapping his arms around me, "I will, always! Lex, you're the love of my life… He's not going to touch you. Please stop worrying, let's have some fun because I want to show off my new fiancé."

I gave him a kiss. "I'm ready."

Pulling up to the nightclub, it was packed. Lucas helped me out as the cameras immediately started flashing. We stopped, posing for a few photos together, then the question started as we started walking to the doors…

"Lexi, where have you been?"
"Lexi, is that an engagement ring?"
"Are you guys engaged?"
"Mr. Costello, how does it feel to be out?"

He stopped, "I feel great because I'm with my girl again." He looked at me and kissed me as we continued past the long line, both with a smile on our face.

"Hey Charlie," I gave him a big hug as he lifted me up.

"Damn girl, I've missed your face. I'm so glad you're back. Mr. Costello, treat this one right." He said, winking at me.

"I plan to." Lucas shook Charlie's hand before we walked into the club.

We got our drinks and sat down at a table. Ben and Kevin sat with us where the rest of the men were close but scattered more.

I was fidgeting with my fingers when Lucas leaned over, whispering in my ear, "Babe, relax. I've got you."

I leaned in, kissing him. "I love you." I said against his lips.

He smiled, leaning in kissing my neck before he whispered in my ear, "I love you more."

"Ohhhh my God…" I heard a familiar voice yell.

Looking up I got teary eyed. I got up from my seat, walking over to Sam. I wrapped my arms around her. "Damn girl, I've missed you so much!"

"Lex, I missed you too. Where the hell have you been?"

"I needed to get away for awhile. I had a really horrible year but I'm back and I'm not going anywhere."

"Well I'm glad, ohhh we need to do a girls night. Heather and Nicole are going to freak now that your back."

"I would love that."

"Gosh, I'm being rude. Lexi, you know Grant?" She asked, pulling him forward.

He held out his hand to me, "Lexi, it's nice seeing you again, I'm glad you're back. This one wouldn't stop talking about you." He teased.

"Oh you!" She giggled, hitting his arm.

"Are you guys, a thing?" Motioning between the two.

"Yes, we've been dating six months now." Sam confirmed.

"Lexi, I'm so sorry for outing you with those pictures like I did. That was a shitty ass move that I never got to apologize for but I'm, truly sorry."

"Where did you ever get those?"

"They came into the office with my name on it. The person that sent them must have known I cover your dad."

I nodded, "Babe?" I turned around, but Lucas was already right there.
