Lexi's P.O.V.

The next day we were all sitting down finishing lunch when one of Lucas' guy's came in.

"Lexi your Father's here."

"What?"

"Should I send him away?" He asked me.

I looked over at Lucas, "You should at least see what he wants, we're all here with you, Lex." David suggested.

I took a deep breath, "Can someone take Kennedy upstairs for a little bit?"

"I'm staying here for this, Erin take her up and we'll come and get you when it's safe." Chris suggested.

"I'll come with you." Helen added. Helen went over and hid the few bottles that were on the counter before running upstairs with Erin and Kennedy.

My heart was racing and felt like it was about to beat out of my chest.

Lucas came over, standing beside me as he wrapped a protective arm around my waist.

Chris was standing on the other side of me.

The door opened and my father walked in.

We stared at each other. For as mad as I was at him, he was still my dad. I still wanted to run up and give him a hug, but he hurt me and Lucas.

He aged a bit over the past nine months. He was more grey and he looked sad.

"Lexi." He gave me a sad smile.

"Dad."

"How are you?" He asked, taking a few more hesitant steps forward.

"I'm better, now that I have Lucas back." I replied back, confident.

Lucas squeezed my side, letting me know he was still there for me.

He nodded, "I've missed you and I'm very grateful that you're safe, but you need to leave town again."

"Excuse me?" I questioned.

"Sweetheart, this man is not going to give up. You were right, someone has been threatening me but I don't care about any of that anymore. He called me again last night, telling me you were back in town. He thinks I'm just going to hand you over to him. I'm done, I refuse to do that."

"What's going to happen to you if you don't listen to him?"

He started laughing sadly, "He said he wouldn't hesitate killing your mother, probably me too. We have extra security and all that, so. He also said he can make up evidence to get me out of office, I don't care… I don't want it if that means you'll be safe. I'm so sorry I hurt you and Lucas. I didn't know how to stop it, without going to the cops. He said he would kill you Lexi if I got Lucas out of this bogus prison sentence, I couldn't lose you." He paused for a moment, "I guess in a way I did though, but at least you're safe."

He looked over at Lucas, "Here, you and your men were protecting her and I didn't help you out. For that, I'm truly sorry. I didn't know what to do, I did make sure you were safe in prison though. I know that's not good enough but-"

Everyone was silent until my father continued, "After you left, Lexi, this guy flipped out. He kept calling, asking if you made contact. This is the only reason I didn't send out a search party for you, because I knew he didn't have you and deep down in my mind, I knew you were safe. Safe and away from that psycho! After a while the calls stopped and it wasn't until last night, when he made contact again."

"What exactly does he want you to do?" Lucas question.

"He wants me to come here, asking her out to dinner by ourselves to work on our relationship and when she's away from you, he would snatch her. He's absolutely crazy… he thinks by taking Lexi, she's going to fall in love with him and get married and we will all be this happy and loving family."
