Lexi's P.O.V

"He's dead!" I whispered.

"What?" Lucas asked, shocked.

The other guys had equally confused looks as I continued.

"He died, the night I went to my parents house for Mom's birthday. We were ambushed when we were on our way to see you and when we got to your getaway car..." I looked down. "The guy shot him... I'm so sorry!"

Lucas pulled me onto his lap, wrapping his arms around my waist. He was much more relaxed now, but that relaxation turned into sadness.

"Why are you sorry? This isn't your fault. Why didn't you tell any of my men or Kevin though?"

"Max gave me strict instructions to follow as he was taking me to your getaway car. He also said that his parents house would be the first place you would look for me."

He pulled me in for a hug, but I stopped him. "Why did you push me away before?"

He looked down, "I thought you and Max ran away together. I'm sorry, it's just... prison really messed with my head. I missed you and when you went missing, I seriously went crazy."

"Why would I do that to you? You know how much I love you, Lucas. Max is one of your best friends, he never would have done that to you either!"

"I know. I'm sorry, baby!" He kissed me, I gladly accepted. Man, have I missed his kisses.

"Wait," I said, pushing him away. "You didn't move on with anyone, did you?"

"I got out a few days ago. I never would have done something like that to you, especially not knowing for sure what happened to you and the feelings I still have for you... Lex, I love you and I don't plan on ever being apart from you again."

I started nodding, "I love you too."

He wiped away my tears and started kissing me again. His hands running down my arms, grabbing a hold of my hands as he placed them on his chest. He stopped kissing me as he brought my left hand up to his face, noticing his promise ring on my finger.

"You're still wearing it!"

"Of course I am! You made me a promise."

He started smiling, "Yes, I did."

Pulling into the Sullivan's driveway, a place I've called home for the past nine months.

I remembered back to the day I first arrived, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Walking up to the front door, to tell Max's parents' I had they're dead son in the back seat of my car. I honestly didn't think they would welcome me into their home, but they did and for that, I will be forever grateful for Chris and Erin.

Getting out, I let go of Lucas' hand and gave Kevin the biggest hug. "I've missed you so much, Kev!"

"I've missed you too Lex, I'm so glad you're okay."

"I didn't think I was going to see any of you again." I let go of Kevin and gave David and Ben a hug next.

I noticed this new guy, "You came into the restaurant today?"

"Yes, my name's Tyler. It's nice to meet you, I work for Lucas."

"It's nice to meet you too."

"You went by a different name at the restaurant?" Lucas asked.

"Yes, when I moved here Chris gave me a different name. 'Brooklyn' since I'm from New York and all."

I grabbed Lucas's hand again and we all walked into the house, it was quiet.

"Chris and Erin must be out. Can I get anyone anything to drink?"

"No, Thank you though. When can we expect Chris and Erin back?" David asked.

"Honestly, they should be home."

I walked to the window in the kitchen that faced the back yard and saw Chris and Erin walking up from their garden with the baby. I got a huge smile on my face. I have dreamed about introducing Lucas to his daughter since the moment I had her.

"They're out back. I'll go get them, and let them know you're all here. I have a surprise for you Lucas, I'll be right back."

Walking to the back deck, I greeted Chris and Erin.

"We heard you pull up, you're home early." Chris said, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I grabbed my little girl from Erin's arms, "I have great news, David and Lucas are in the house, along with some of their men. They picked me up at the restaurant today."

"Seriously?"

I nodded, "They're in the kitchen. I can't wait to introduce her to Lucas."

Walking back into the house, I slowly entered the kitchen. Lucas' eyes widened when he saw the baby girl in my arms. As I started walking forward, Lucas got up. His mouth was opened like he wanted to say something, but nothing came out.

"I want you to meet our daughter." Tears filled his eyes as he stared at her.

"I got pregnant the night before your sentencing. That's why Max tried getting me out of New York when the motorcyclist attacked us. He knew that since I was pregnant you would want me hidden. We were going to talk to you that night about where I should go, but we didn't make it there."

"What's her name?" He whispered.

"Kennedy. I haven't given her a middle name yet because I thought we could do that together or you can choose her middle name or we can use Kennedy for her middle name and-"

He grabbed the back of my neck lightly, pulling me into a kiss.

He rested his forehead against mine, "Kennedy is perfect, can I hold her?"

I nodded, "Of course you can."

I handed her to Lucas. He stared at her with so much love in his eyes.

"She's absolutely beautiful, Lex!"

"She really is. She's the best and I'm so glad you're here with us now."

David walked up holding her finger. "Oh man, Grandma is going to love you, Princess. You look just like your mommy, yes you do!" He cooed at her, making her smile.

My heart was so happy.
