Lexi's P.O.V.

It's been the longest month. New evidence was found, making Lucas look more and more guilty.

The cops went to John's house and found a room full of stuff pinpointing John as my stalker. A wall full of pictures of me, out doing random things the past five years, my clothing that must have been stolen from my apartment and video audio of me and Lucas in bed together.

Cops also found a note in John's car that was supposedly from Lucas, threatening John's life if he didn't leave me alone. I'm not a rocket scientist, but I'm pretty sure Lucas would have just killed John instead of leaving a threatening letter as evidence. Jack even brought that up when I was at the police station, again for questioning.

Lucas was trying to stay positive, but I had absolutely no faith in our justice system at the moment.

Lucas's sentencing was in a few days, and I was heading to my parents house. This needed to stop if my father was behind this mess.

I walked into the house. Peter was sitting at the table with my parents in a deep conversation about something when they all jumped up when I walked in.

"Honey, you're home?" My mom cried out, as she came over to give me a hug.

"Hi Mom, I need to talk to Dad." I let go of her and turned towards the table. "Peter. Dad."

"Hi sweetheart-"

"Don't! You need to stop this, Or I'm walking away from this family."

"What? You're being ridiculous… he's a criminal-"

"Ridiculous? Are you serious right now? The only thing ridiculous about this is our justice system and apparently our government too. I'm going to say this one more time, Lucas never shot John and he sure as hell shouldn't have to go to prison… so fuck everyone who wants to put him there."

"Watch your language."

"No! I love you Dad, I once thought you were the most selfless man, but if you are doing this because I fell in love with Lucas, I'm telling you right now, I'll be waiting for him. He is the most amazing man and I understand his last name messes this whole thing politically for you, but why wouldn't you want me to be happy?" I choked out.

Peter looked sad, he was looking down not saying a word and my mom was trying not to cry.

"Dad is someone threatening you?"

He was silent for a moment before he regained his composure and looked me in the eyes. "No."

I nodded, "Make this right, because if you love me… you wouldn't be doing this to me."

I walked back out, slamming the door behind me.

I heard the door open, "Lex, wait."

I turned around, "So, you're finally talking to me again?"

"Lex, what do you want me to say? Huh? I confessed that I was in love with you and you shot me down. I was heartbroken." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"I never meant to hurt you, Peter. You're my friend, and someone I thought I could always count on, but right now I just need to be left alone." I started walking to my car, where Kevin was waiting.

"If it makes you feel any better, I think Lucas is innocent."

I turned back to him, "Really?"

He nodded.

"Then tell my father that, he doesn't seem to believe me, or just doesn't care."

"That's what we were talking about when you walked in. I do think someone got to him, but he won't talk to me about it."
