✩ Chapter 12 - Pansy Parkinson ✩

I turn around and cross my arms over my chest.

"What are you on about now?" I answer back to Pansy. She stands in front of me as she crosses her arms copying my actions. Some people turn around and look towards us.

"Oh you KNOW what I'm on about, why are you pretending to be into Draco? Because I'm pretty sure he's not into you at all!" She exclaims and throws her arms to her side. I chuckle and look down and quickly back up to her.

"Why does it even matter? Stop trying to involve yourself in everything he does..." I say back defencelessly. She starts to turn red.

• Draco's POV: •

"Stop trying to involve yourself in everything he does..." I hear from the entrance way. I look over to where I last left the others to see Pansy standing opposite Jade. Pansy shakes her head.

"I've been his friend for longer! He likes me more. Stop being so desperate and just give up now" Pansy exclaims. Some students "Ooo" as Pansy finishes her sentence. Jade chuckles once more and looks up towards the sky and back towards Pansy.

"Well put it this way Pugface, you might've been friends with him longer but he's always preferred me-"

"That's a lie!" Pansy interrupts getting close into Jade's face. She remains calm though, I think. I slowly start to see Pansy move her hand into her Jean pocket and keeping it there.

"Is it though? Tell me this then, has he even tried to hold your hand? Hug you? What about even kiss you?" Jade finishes as she smiles smugly at Pansy. She grabs something in her pocket as I realise it's her wand and quickly make my way over there. She stands back and points it towards Jade. Jade grabs her wand and points it to Pansy.

"Draco, step any closer and I'll put her in the hospital wing" Pansy says while looking over her shoulder to me.
As I stand in the middle of them, I look towards Jade with a worried look. She nods at me. I back up and stand behind her but next to Goyle.

"Parkinson. Don't even try-" before Jade can finish her sentence off, Pansy shoots a spell towards Jade.

"Flipendo-"

"Protego" she defends quickly. Pansy starts to speak another spell again till Jade shoots a quick spell.

"Depulso!" Pansy doesn't block it in time and she falls back onto the ground hard. I move closer next to Jade and look down at her proudly. We both look at Pansy who now is up from the floor. She has tears in her eyes as she stumbles away. People start to clap at Jade as they move inside.

"Wow, you are great... but, you could get in trouble doing that" I say to her as I hug her quickly. She pulls away from me and gives me a confused look.

"You're starting to sound like a Gryffindor there, Malfoy" she says as she twirls her wand around and places it back into her pocket. I huff at her.

"No, as if... you know what? Good on you babe" I finish off and wrap my arm around her shoulder. She takes her hand in mine with the shoulder wrapped around her and we start to walk back into the hall together with the others.

• Jade's POV: •

We get into the Hall and look around to find somewhere to sit. Caitlin speed walks up to me from the Slytherin table and grabs my arm. She drags me out the Hall leaving Draco to walk to the table with the others. We stand by the wall as people pass us to our left.

"Oh my god, I heard you had a Duel with Pansy! Why wasn't I there to see it!?" Caitlin whisper shouts.

"Well it wasn't really a duel, Pansy didn't like what I had to say and she shot a spell at me. I was just defending myself" I whisper shout back. She blinks a couple of times before answering me again.

"Well, everyone's talking about it! It's been none stop."

"That's because it's literally just happened." I say back to Caitlin. She slides to the side of me and links arms with me as we walk back into the Hall.

"You did win though?" She questions me.

"Duh, of course." I say proudly. Caitlin giggles as she releases my arm and takes a seat next to me. I sit opposite Draco as he smiles to me.

"She was amazing." Goyle says from the side of Draco. I thank him.

"Hopefully, she'll know not to mess with me again." I say as I take some food and put it onto my plate. Caitlin nudges me from the side. I look towards her then past her shoulder to see Pansy walk in, and Professor Mcgonagall follows behind her. Pansy looks my way and smirks. Professor I groan knowing what's about to happen. Mcgonagall looks at me and wiggles her finger as to say "come here."

"Pansy really did tell on you, huh?" Draco says as he looks at me slowing getting up.

"She'll be in just as much trouble as me, as she started it. Anyways, I'll catch you later" I say and I quickly stuff my face. I walk towards the door. Pansy continues to smirk at me as she passes me.

"Miss Wilson, may I have a word?" Professor Mcgonagall says as she places her hand onto my back and guides me out the Hall. I follow next to her, not saying a word. We reach her classroom as I walk to the front and she closes the door behind me.

"I heard that earlier on today, there was a bit of disagreement with Miss. Parkinson and you?" She questions as she passes me and takes a seat onto her chair. I tangle my fingers together and rest them on her desk.

"Yes Professor Mcgonagall." I say while looking at her. Her face expression changes, she taps her desk and starts to grab a book from the side.

"Is it correct that you are the one who started this?"

Wait? What?

"No, Professor. I was talking with Crabbe and Goyle and she approached me. She pulled her wand out first and shot a spell at me, I simply defended myself." I tell her honestly. She leans back into her chair.

"Duelling is not allowed without supervision as you should know, Miss. Wilson." I nod at her in response.

"I have spoken to Professor Snape, as he has agreed not to punish you in any way. This is a warning however, please do not do it again." She points her finger up towards me. I nod back in response.

"Thank you, Professor. But may I ask, was Pansy the one to tell you?" I ask curiously.

"Unsurprisingly, yes. Miss. Parkinson turned the story around and said you were the one to start this whole quarrel. I asked a few people who witnessed and they debunked Miss. Parkinson's theory However, she will be punished for starting this and lying." Professor Mcgonagall says in a 'matter of fact' way. Without another word, I thank her one last time and head out of her classroom, shutting the door behind me. I let out a big sigh and head to the Common Room.

I get there and sit on the sofa, to my surprise, only a couple of first years were in here. After a while of just sitting and staring into the fire, the door opens and Draco and the rest walk in.

"Pansy was bragging that you were getting punished, it was getting so annoying." Caitlin said running over to me and sinking into the sofa. Draco takes a seat on the opposite sofa with Crabbe and Goyle.

"What happened then?" Draco says eagerly. The boys watch me as I walk up and stand between the 2 sofas and in front of the fire.

"Ok. So, this is what happened."
