✩ Chapter 10 - The Yule Ball (2/2) ✩

I stand next to Draco as we watch the champions and their dates walk past us. To my surprise, Hermione was with Viktor Krum and she looked stunning. We all clap and follow them around to the centre of the Hall as we watch them take their places to get ready to dance. The orchestra start to play music. We watch as they all dance in sync. Eventually, Professor Dumbledore and Mcgonagall take place on the floor. Respectfully, we all clap once more. A few other people join the others dancing. I stand there in awe, slightly looking over my shoulder at Draco. He notices me looking.

"Would you care to dance with me?" Draco says while holding his hand out. I smile and look down at his hand while lacing my fingers into his, without another word I lead him to the centre of the room. He places one hand on my waist and brings the hand attached to mine up. We look into each other's eyes as we sway to the music.

"Ready for the lift?" I question Draco. He laughs while nodding. I place my hands onto his shoulders as he holds my waist and lifts me up and twirls me a little. I carry on watching him as he lifts me. He places me down and we re-take our first positions and we twirl one more time as Draco smiles at me with the biggest smile I've ever seen. The music stops and the girls curtsy and the guys bow.

"Would you like to get some fresh air?" Draco says closely to my ear. I simply say yes as we walk outside. As we step outside the cold air hits me. We walk over and past the carriages on the frosty snow to the fountain which was frozen over. Snow lightly and slowly fell from the sky and we take a seat on the cold stone. The scenery was beautiful, and Draco was without a doubt the best view by far.

"You do look absolutely beautiful tonight" Draco says while looking over at me.

"Thank you, and you really do look Handsome." He chuckles lightly and looks to the floor.

"Draco, I really would like to take this time to talk to you about something." He looks back at me and moves closer to me. I take a deep breathe before starting to speak again.

"I know we've been good friends for 4 incredible years but things recently have been feeling different... I don't know if it's just me who is feeling these things but instead of keeping it inside I think it's best if I just share what I need to say... I like you Draco, and more then a friend way..." I finish off. I put some hair behind my ear and bring my hands back together. I look up at Draco who seems shocked.

"Well, I am glad you said and feel that way because I'd say I'd be lying if I didn't feel the same. But, for me, it's more then liking you." He looks me in my eyes as I feel myself getting teary. He takes my hands and brings them up to his face and gives them a light peck.

"Jade Wilson, it's taken me so long to finally say this... But, I love you" I quickly look down and back up at him. I couldn't believe it. Draco Malfoy just told me he loves me... I don't know what to say. I stand up and pull him up with me. I look up to the sky and smile, seeing the small snow flakes falling. Draco watches me intensively as I bring my gaze back to him.

"Now what? I like you and you love me..." I question him. He starts to lean forward. Oh god, he's going to kiss me. I lean forward too and our lips finally meet. I felt butterflies erupting in my stomach. In this moment, I felt happy. We eventually pull back as I see Draco bright red.

"Now, if I asked you to be my girlfriend... what would you say?" He takes my hands and rubs the back of my hands.

"Well, if you actually asked me properly then I'll give you a proper answer Malfoy." I grin up to him and laugh. He drops my hands and places his hands on my waist pulling me in as his body heat kept me warm.

"Miss Wilson, would you like to date THE Draco Malfoy and become his Girlfriend? As he promises you to always love and keep you happy?" I wrap my arms around his neck and bring my face closer to his.
