- y/n pov
walking to earth magic with my best friends, somi and hermione, we chatted and laughed about our weekend as we made our way into class. i took my seat beside somi, while hermione sat next to harry."draco is coming," somi whispered, nudging me slightly. i sighed, trying not to make it obvious that i cared.
i turned around, and there he was, draco malfoy, smirking confidently as he strolled over to our table.
"ready to get rocked by slytherins?" he taunted, flashing that infamous smirk.
"shove off, malfoy," i shot back, crossing my arms. "my team is going to win."
he scoffed, shrugging as if i'd just told a joke. "whatever you say, y/l/n." with one last smirk, he walked off.
"how do you even like that jerk?" somi whispered, glancing over at him.
"hey, stop it," i muttered, shushing her quickly, but she just raised an eyebrow, knowing me all too well. the truth was, i did like him, even though he was supposed to be my enemy.
in the changing room, i pulled on my quidditch uniform just as somi came over, looking pumped.
"you ready?" she asked, her grin infectious. i nodded, and together we mounted our brooms, flying out onto the pitch as cheers erupted from the stands.
draco, on the slytherin team, caught my eye and smirked. i narrowed my eyes, giving him a look that clearly said, "bring it on."
the game started, and as the seeker for my team, i immediately focused on spotting the golden snitch. after a few minutes, i caught a flash of gold in the distance and sped towards it, only to realize that draco was right behind me, hot on my trail.
i stretched out my hand, reaching for the snitch, when suddenly, i felt a hard shove. i glanced to my right and saw draco laughing, clearly pleased with himself. narrowing my eyes, i pushed him back, determined to stay ahead.
we both chased the snitch with intense focus, dodging and weaving through the air. then, out of nowhere, i felt another hard shove, and this time, i lost my grip on my broom. before i knew it, i was plummeting toward the ground, and everything went black.

i hadn't meant to knock y/n off her broom. i just wanted to throw her off a bit, but i'd gone too far. panic flooded through me as i watched her fall. without thinking, i dove down, reaching her crumpled form on the ground.
"y/n, y/n, wake up," i said, shaking her gently. she didn't move. "bloody hell!" i cursed under my breath, guilt flooding through me.
"what did you do, malfoy!" somi yelled as she stormed over, fury in her eyes.
"i just meant to nudge her aside! i didn't mean to push her off," i admitted, but it was clear somi wasn't interested in excuses. she moved to confront me, but her teammates held her back.
"get her to the hospital wing!" hermione called, and harry and ron carefully lifted y/n, carrying her off. i started to follow, but someone held me back.
"you'll pay for this," mark, one of the ravenclaw players, said with a glare before he turned and followed the others.
as they disappeared, somi stood beside me, crossing her arms. "admit it. you like her," she said, not even attempting to hide her smirk.
"no, i don't," i muttered, feeling my cheeks heat up as i turned away.
"fine," she replied with a shrug. "mark was going to ask her out, anyway."
my eyes widened, and she burst into laughter, clearly having hit a nerve.
"fine, i do," i finally admitted, sighing and pinching the bridge of my nose. "but i messed up. badly."
"she likes you too, you know," somi said, grinning at my surprise.
"you're lying!" i barked, not daring to believe it.
"nope! you'd better apologize and make it right before it's too late, malfoy!" she teased, and i didn't waste another second—I ran straight to the hospital wing.
i pushed through the double doors of the hospital wing and saw y/n lying on a bed, her teammates gathered around her.
"well, well, if it isn't malfoy," mark sneered as he caught sight of me.
"back off, mark," i said, shooting him a death glare. "i just want to talk to her."
he looked ready to punch me, but his teammates held him back, leading him out of the room and leaving me alone with y/n.
i sat down beside her, carefully taking her hand in mine. "i'm so sorry for pushing you off your broom," i said, my voice barely a whisper. "if you hate me, i understand."
she gave a weak smile, her fingers lightly squeezing my hand. "it's okay, draco."
i sighed, running a hand over my face, still feeling the weight of my guilt. "i just... i don't know what i was thinking."
she reached out and gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. "seriously, draco, i'm alright."
i hesitated, then took a deep breath. "i like you, y/n," i confessed, watching her reaction closely.
her eyes widened in surprise. "wait, really?"
i nodded, and she pulled me into a kiss, so sudden that i froze, but then quickly kissed her back, savoring the warmth of her lips.
"i like you too," she whispered as we pulled apart.
"then... will you be my girlfriend?" i asked, my heart pounding.
"of course," she replied, grinning as i leaned in to peck her lips once more.
"finally!" a voice exclaimed from the doorway. we looked up to see somi and blaise standing there, grinning from ear to ear.
"about time," blaise said with a laugh. "draco here wouldn't stop talking about you."
i rolled my eyes, giving blaise a playful shove as we all burst into laughter, the tension finally breaking.
