Y/N POV
it's been about five weeks since i've talked to draco. i was walking to herbology class, making my way through the courtyard, when i felt someone tap my shoulder.
i turned around and looked up to see jason, my friend.
"oh. hello, jason." i said.
"hey. uhh, i've got something to tell you." he said.
"shoot." i said while we walked.
"draco. he doesn't look too good." jason told me.
"what do you mean." i asked, suddenly worried.
"he's at the astronomy tower, crying. he hasn't been going to class." he told me.
"oh. well, thank you for telling me." i said with a small smile. he nodded, and then i took off running.
i ran up the stairs, and then i heard my name being called.
"y/n." i heard. i turned my head and saw hermione with harry and ron.
"no time. i'll explain later." i shouted back, continuing up the stairway.
ᨒ
i reached the top and saw draco leaning against the railing. i hid quietly behind the wall, peeking at him.
as he pushed himself off the railing, he lifted up his sleeve—revealing something i didn't want to see. the dark mark.
he sighed, running a hand through his hair, looking completely stressed. i quickly fixed myself up before stepping out to reveal myself.
"draco." i called his name. he quickly pulled his sleeve down and looked up.
"y/n." he said.
"draco. why didn't you tell me." i said, walking up to him and gently grabbing his arm. i lifted his sleeve, revealing the dark mark again.
"i'm really sorry." he said, looking straight into my eyes.
"it's fine. but... is this why we broke up." i asked, looking back up at him.
"i wanted to protect you. i never lost feelings for you." he told me.
i let out a small chuckle and rolled his sleeve back down.
"we'll get through this together." i said to him.
"wait. really." he asked with a small smile.
"yes, draco. and don't keep secrets from me or i'll kick you." i said with a fake smile.
he laughed softly and pulled me into a tight hug.
