Chapter 6

A/N Sorry last chapter was short I again had to get up early but I wanted to post so it was pretty trash but hopfully this isn't as bad because apparently my brain is totally cool with doing exams tomorrow on 1 hour of sleep lol I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while I swear I'll post 2 tonight! OH also DAVEED DIGS SAW MY FREAKING STORY! I posted about Biden winning (Yay) And put a pic of the end of Yorktown and tagged everyone and he saw! That's the first time he's seen it! Also Leslie odom jr saw it again which makes 11 time for him and Jazzy jones. Also I hate promoting myself but my accound is hamilpotter_221B so if you wanted to follow that'd be appreciated, If u dm me I'll give u a shout out in a post or whatever I don't rlly have that many followers but a guy from be more chill follows me even tho I haven't seen it lol. Sorry this was long but here is chapter 6.

Alex POV

I wake up on an uncomfortable be with someone next to me. I remember it's John and sigh. He's still in a coma. The doctors say he'll probably wake up either today or tomorrow. It's only 8am so the others won't visit until 10 so I don't have anything to do for like 2 hours.

A nurse comes in to check on John and smiles when she sees me awake. "Oh you're awake, I'm just checking this and I'll be gone." She says happily and I nod.

"Do you know if he'll wake up soon?" I ask and she looks at me sympathetically.

"I'm sorry I don't know, like the doctor said most likely today or tomorrow." She says smiling weakly. "But I would just like to say, you too make the cutest couple, I'm sure everything will work out."

Once she's gone I lean against John's shoulder. "John? I know you can't hear me but I love you so much, You've promised many times not to leave me, now I don't care about the promise I just want you back, I can't live without you. You need to live to see out kid a-a-and-" I start but I stop when I start crying...a lot.

Peggy POV

I'm going back to the hospital at 10:30 and it's currently 8:30. I still haven't told Maria so that's what I'm about to do. I get ready as fast as I can and then sit on the bed next to her. She's asleep on her stomach with her head turned to the wall.

"Hey, Babe wake up," I say softly nudging her. She just groans and waves me off with her hand, Like, John, Laf and Liza she's not a morning person. "Maria I need to talk to you." I say more seriously.

She sighs and sits up. "What's up?" She asks, Her curly hair's messy and half in her face.

"Um well... you know how Alex and John want kids?" I ask and she nods slowly, "Well they got a surrogate," I say and she smiles,

"That's great, tell them I say congratulations but is there a reason you had to tell me this right now?" She asks.

"Yeah, aha... well they- they asked me......and I said yes." I say looking down.

"So...you're....pregnant?"

"I'm so sorry! I should have asked you before I even did it!" I exclaim,

"Hey Pegs, it's okay. I'm just a little surprised that's all." She says soothingly.

"You're not mad?" I ask

"No of course not! I love you so much and I can't wait to continue talking in a few hours when I get up properly." She says and lies back now. I laugh a little and then leave the room.

*Time skip couple hours later- 3pm (sorry it's big one)*

Alex POV

John still hasnt woken up. Its been hours, the others have come and go but Peggy and I have been here the whole time. "Were back" Lafayette says as he walks into the room holding a bag of take out followed by Hercules, Eliza and Angelica.

"He's still not awake?" Eliza asks, I shake my head.

"The doctors have run a few more tests but theyre still saying either later today or tomorrow" I reply. Just as I say this, Johns heart monitor starts beeping, really fast and loud. "John?! JOHN!" Is scream.

Doctors and nurses rush in a couple of them have to drag me out. They close the doors and I sit down in the hall outside his room. He cant die, hes only 22, he hasnt done half the things he wanted- wants to do. I hear the beeping go away; I relax for a moment then realize what it means.

I jump up and run to the door of the room, but it wont open. I hear on of the doctors yell clear and a small beep. After a moment theres another. I let out a sigh of relief as someone opens the door. "He's alive, He should properly wake up in the next half our or so." One of the doctors say and I run into the room.

He's breathing softly and looks so peaceful, I wish I could tell what was happing in his brain. I walk over and sit on the edge of the bed. All the other's went home so It's just me. I sit there for a while, admiring his eyes and hair and freckles and every adorable feature of him.

After about 25 minute his head moves a bit. I sit up and grab his hand, "John?" I ask softly.

He groans a little and half opens his eyes. "A-Alex?" He groans and tries to sit up but I stop him.

"Shhh, I'm here, lie down. You're okay now." I whisper and he relaxes a little. "I'm gonna go get a nurse to make sure everything's ok, I'll be back in a minute" I say and slowly start to get up but he weakly squeeze's my hand.

"Don't go" He begs, I nod and sit back down next to him. "Where's everyone else?" He asks still not properly opening his eyes.

"They went home and after.... well all day they've been coming and going." I reply.

"I wanna go home." He grumbles and slowly turns around to lean on my chest. I gently stroke his hair.

"I know, when a nurse comes in I'll ask them when you can leave" I say and he just nods in response.

A/N I'm so sorry this is kinda trash but also Jazzy Jones and Leslie odom jr saw my story 4 more times today! Anyway I'm gonna go start the next chapter.
