Gale's POV
"Have you started distributing the fliers?"
"Yes sir"
"Good. I want his face everywhere, and even on TV, we wouldn't want him to escape."
"Yes sir"
"Okay, you may leave now"
I stayed up all night reading the journal and I couldn't believe how terrible a man could be. I'm gonna have nightmares for the next month just for reading it, the kidnapping, the murders, I had only seen stuff like that in movies. Like killing people by boiling them, taking out their hearts, imprisoning people in dungeons, and using them for sacrifice. I for one never really believed in supernatural powers or ' beings from the other side ' , but now I do.
I really feel bad for Dave and his family, to think that till three months ago, I didn't even know the Hathaways. I only saw Alexa like three times when I had been struck by cupid's arrow. Who knew a seventeen year old could be so breathtaking, her beautiful green eyes that sparkled when she was amazed or when she smiled. Her diamond shaped face, her cute little nose and her wonderful pink lips that looked so amazing when she smiled. Gorgeous blonde hair that was long and silky, her skin, bright and flawless.
She was absolutely perfect, from the way she spoke, her voice a bit tiny and her new York accent obvious in every word, to the way her perfectly rounded hips swayed whenever she walked and the way she touched things, so elegantly like a princess. He'd always wanted to approach her, to tell her how he felt but fear had stopped him. Fear of what she might have said, an ordinary cop, trying to ask her out and it wasn't even a good looking one. With his jet black hair, brown eyes, and that scar on his chest he got when chasing a serial killer three years back. If only he was more handsome and maybe more rich, he might have be--
"Knock knock, may I come in?"
"Oh...yeah, of course. I see you're not alone this time."
"Yeah, Chris wanted to tag along. Why, are you disappointed?"
"Maybe."
"You guys are weird, its like you're a gay couple."
"We're partners, right?"
"Right. So did you finish the journal?"
"Yes, and what I found was terrible."
"What?"
"It turns out that he and his mom had been killing people for quite some time. It started with small killings when he was sixteen, like just one person per week but when he turned eighteen, he had become something else. Slicing people's throat and liking it, carving out their hearts and many more."
"That's awful, how come the cops never caught them?"
"I don't know. At a point, he had turn into a killing machine. Hunting people like they were animals, he was twenty at the time."
"How old is he now?"
"He'll be twenty three in two months, and it's like they have something terrible planned for that day."
"Why do you say do?"
"For the past two months, he had been writing about a great sacrifice, an ultimate offering that would make he and his mom unstoppable and I think it has something to do with your family"
"So, what are we gonna do now?"
"Aiden's a wanted criminal all over town, his face will show up on every TV station, warning people about him and I'm sure we'll find him soon."
