"So tell us your name and bit about yourself." The producer instructs whilst I stare down the humungous camera lens.
"Hi! I'm Demi Banks. I'm 24 years old, and I'm best known for five years as a professional skater on Dancing on Ice." I smile. "I had to quit last year after a shoulder injury, which was really devastating. I've been trying to find my feet again and have a go at new things, so this really does tick all those boxes."
"What's your biggest fear?"
"I would say my biggest fear is... maybe spiders? I don't like the thought of snakes, or the cold, or the dark, or the unknown... why did I even apply for this show!"
"What trial do you not want to do?"
"I really don't want to do an eating trial. Watching them on TV at home, when I can't smell or taste it, makes me want to be sick. The thought of having to chew on a sheep's testicle actually makes me shiver."
"What role will you play in camp?"
"I think I'll be energetic. I always like to see people smiling. But when I'm hungry, I get real quiet and can snap pretty easily at really small things. I might try a bit of cooking as well. I don't know what kind welsh delicacies they're gonna serve us in the castle, but I don't think it's going to be Welsh Cakes!"
"Tell us about your relationship status."
"So I am painfully single. I've been single for about 2 and a half years now. Am I looking for love? ... No... but if it happens it happens! I'm just going in to have a good time."
"Who is your dream campmate?"
"My dream campmate would probably be Gino D'acampo. Funny, hot, energetic, and an INSANE chef. He would make castle life so easy."
"And finally, why are you doing I'm A Celebrity?"
"I'm doing I'm A Celeb because 2020 has been a pretty rubbish year. I've watched this show for years now, and always wondered what it would be like. I wanna push myself as far as I can and see how much I can really handle!"
"Okay, thank you Demi! We'll see you in the castle very soon!"
