We both fired spells at each other but kept dodging them. He kept trying to disarm me, but I would block it. After two minutes, I was tired but had to keep going.
"Not bad potter." Malfoy smirked.
I shot a spell at him as he was distracted and he flew off his feet and fell, but was quickly back up.
"Oh shit." I heard one of the students whisper.
He was angry. Draco stood up and started shooting spells at me. I couldn't block them all and two of them hit me at once and I was thrown up and into the wall where I felt blood dripping down my head and neck. I saw something flying at me before I could move and it hit me in the face. I tasted something metal and realized that my nose was also bleeding.
I looked up at Draco who looked conflicted. Like he wanted to run over and help me, but he couldn't. He clenched his jaw and threw another spell at me but I dodged it. As I stood up and grabbed my wand, it was thrown across the room. He disarmed me. Fuck.
Ok. I guess it's a hands on fight now.
I was much better at hand to hand combat than most people, because I used to be Dudley's friend's punching bag until I could fight.
He kept throwing spells at me and I was sliding or jumping over the bullets of magic. It seemed in slow motion as he threw three spells at once at me. I took another step and flipped in the air, swinging my legs just enough to miss it. After dodging them I planted my feet on the ground. But as soon as I did I got the wind knocked out of me and was suddenly on the ground. Malfoy was on top of me with his wand digging into my neck, right under my chin. I couldn't breathe.
But it wasn't just the pain through my body and the wand digging into my neck. It was also how close he was to me. I could feel his cool breath on my lips and his other hand holding my arm down.
"Just give up Potter." He pleaded. It wasn't his normal, snarky tone. He seemed hurt. "I don't wanna hurt you." He whispered under his breath.
But I couldn't. If I did then I would be an outcast. I could barely breathe with the amount of blood in my mouth. Everything hurt. But I couldn't give up. I'd rather be dead.
"No." I said. His grip on me tightened as I struggled to get up. I shut my eyes as he dug the wand in deeper.
I can't. But I have to. A strange feeling burned through my body, but he hadn't used a spell yet. I shut my eyes tightly and all of a sudden he jumped away from me and yelled.
"Fuck!" Malfoy screamed. I looked at myself and little bolts of electricity were radiating off of me.
"What-what was that?" I asked but everyone was just as shocked.
"I don't know but you have two minutes left." Blaise said and I stood up.
With Draco shocked I whispered a spell under my breath and his wand went flying. Over the summer I had learned how to use some spells without my wand.
"I guess its hand to hand now." He said and I tilted my head.
A punch was thrown at my eye but I ducked. I kicked the back of his legs and he huffed out a breath. He swung again and this time hit my jaw. I stumbled a little and spit out a mouthful of blood onto the floor.
"Please... please just stop." Draco begged. "Blaise just stop the fight."
"Do you want to give up?" Blaise asked and I shook my head.
Draco was also beaten and bloody, dripping off of his platinum hair.
"Not unless you're quitting." I smirked and swung my left fist into his temple. He fell to the ground but quickly jumped up and kicked my feet out. As I fell he grabbed me so my back was to him and wrapped his forearm around my neck so he was choking me.
"Lillian. Give up." He pleaded.
Instead I grabbed his arm and planted my feet, throwing him over me. I may be small but I have been put in this position many times.
Before he could stand I got on his back and twisted his arm until he was crying out in pain.
"STOP!" Blaise yelled. "You win Lillian. Just... stop."
I let go and immediately collapsed to the ground. I was sweating and bloody, but didn't dare pull my hair back in fear of exposing my scar.
"Nice job Potter." Malfoy groaned and I chuckled.
"You too." I responded. I sat up and started coughing up blood.
I felt a hand on my back and saw Draco trying to help me feel better.
"I'm sorry. I hated that. I'm sorry I hurt you." He whispered as everyone cleared out.
"Its ok." I responded. We both stood up but I quickly fell back down. He wrapped his arms around me, but this time it was comforting and trying to help me.
"I got you." He whispered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok so I wasn't a fan of the past two chapters but they are important to the plot line for one, showing how slytherin is different from the other houses. They only accept the best and strongest, but are a family. Two, we find out that Lillian has some sort of underlying abilities.
