I turned to Katy, "You didn't have to get this for me. I could've gotten a keyboard myself." I said sheepishly.

"No you need a very nice piano dearie." She winked and pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back and I could tell she was smiling.

"Thank you so much." I whispered.

She smiled and let me go, "Well go on, give it a go! Show Tam and I whatcha got." I looked at her shocked but she pushed me towards the piano. Tamra started to cheer my name.

"Fine, fine." I said as I took a seat on the piano. "I don't really have anything good yet. So I guess I'll cover a huge influence to me. This song is called Oh Dear." I said playing the opening chords.

Katy and Tamra began cheering loudly. "Katy wasn't kidding about your voice." Tamra said smirking. I rolled my eyes.

"The point is I'd prefer to be a pianist than a singer." I said laughing. I got up from the piano and examined it closely. "It's a good quality piano though."

"Oh good." Katy said laughing. My phone lit up again. I looked down at the notifications, it was a text from David. Oops I forgot to put emojis by his name.

David the McDonalds worker:
Don't believe what Avery says lol. She and her basketball team are going crazy about this.

"Who's that?" Katy said snatching my phone. "Who's David? Does he go to your school? Is he hot?" She asked a whole bunch of questions while grinning.

"Calm the heck down Kate." I said jokingly. I grabbed the phone from her. "David was our waiter at the café. He just transferred to our school."

"Oooh you got his number." She said nudging me. I rolled my eyes and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Geez, he's just my friend." I laughed. "Well uh I don't really have any homework so..." I said tapping my foot like I was thinking.

"We go laser tagging!" Katy shouted. Tamra and I looked at her like she was crazy. Katy looked at us with a funny face, "Oh c'mon you two it'll be fun! We'll get Shannon, Markus, and Mia. It'll be great!"

"Who're Markus and Mia?" I asked tilting my head. Katy gasped and looked offended.

"They're my other best friends of course!" She huffed.

"Haven't met them. I only met Johnny, Shannon, and Rivka." I shrugged. Then I looked over at Tamra who looked quite offended, "Oh and Tam of course!" I grinned.
