Katy's POV

My head rested quietly on the pillow. I had been crying for at least an hour or so. What I said was awful, I didn't mean any word of it but I said it anyway because I was so annoyed. Does she still hate me?

I rolled onto my side to look at the clock, 3:30 AM. I hope she wouldn't mind if I went into her room and apologized. I slipped my legs out from under the covers and into some slippers, cat slippers of course. I carefully got out of bed and I slowly walked to the bedroom door.

I slipped it open and I stepped out into the hallway. The house was extremely quiet. I walked over to her room, no sounds of her light snores that I usually hear. I carefully knocked on her door, barely whispering, "Tess?"

No answer, she must be asleep.

I opened her door slowly and looked around her room. Her bed is empty. Not only that, but her bed looks as if no one had even slept in it. It also looked like some clothes and toiletries had been taken too. I screamed loudly, not caring if it would wake the neighbors. I frantically ran through the house looking through every room calling her name through sobs.

She couldn't have ran away. Wouldn't she have left a note somewhere if she did? I checked the house again for a note. Nope. No note anywhere.

I got down on my knees and looked up to the wall, trying to talk to God. "Pretty please come back Tess. I'm so sorry." I wailed loudly.

Tess' POV

I sauntered through the cafeteria as I carried my lunch. Shannon had gotten me KFC for lunch, since she's too lazy to pack one for me, or even show me where the food is.

I plopped next to Avery. "Hiya guys." I said, smiling.

"Hi there Tessie, what's with the KFC?" Lauren asked, laughing. Avery shushed her and whispered something in her ear which made her giggle.

"No Avery, I am not a hobo." I said rolling my eyes.

"How'd you know she said that?" Lauren gasped.

"We literally can read each other's minds." Avery grinned. She pointed at me, "Right now Tessie's thinking about how sexy David Green is."

"Shut up," I scowled, taking a bite of my fried chicken.

All of a sudden, a whole bunch of phones started going off including me. Lauren pulled her phone out, her sparkly One Direction phone case reflecting the sunlight coming through the windows.

"Oh my god," Lauren said gasping.

"What?" Avery said looking at her phone.

"Katy Perry had a mental meltdown last night. She's at the hospital now." Lauren whispered. Avery looked at me shocked. I looked at her as if to say, 'I'll explain later.'

"Oh my god is she ok?" I said, my voice cracking.

"According to inside sources, she was screaming a name over and over again." Lauren said. Oh my god. I've never felt so guilty, yet afraid.

"Alright, whatever happened, you all need to turn your phones off now!" The lunch monitor yelled. Even after she yelled at us, there was still murmurs about the situation going through the room.

Lauren got up and headed to Travis' table, leaving Avery and I by ourselves. I turned to her, "I gotta see her." Avery gawked and looked around as if people were looking at us.

"You can't just leave school. They'll punish you."

"My mo- I mean Katy needs me now." I said uttering, getting ready to stand up.
Avery shook her head and grabbed my shoulders forcing me to sit down. I couldn't resist her force, it's because she's a strong basketball player.
