Misty POV

My little Ryan is now a year old. The past year has flown by. So many things have happened and changed, but for the life of me, I wouldn't change a thing. My life has only gotten better and better.

"Don't you look spunky in your little suit my beautiful little man" I say to Ryan, while getting him dressed. He smiles at me and tries to pull off his bowtie. "No, Ryan. You need to leave that on. Nanny wouldn't like it if you turned up to her wedding looking messy" I say to him.

That's right. Today mum is marrying Jason. She said yes to him and for the past 7 months we have been planning this day for her. It has finally arrived and I can't wait to watch her walk down the aisle to her second chance. Jason has been absolutely amazing to this family and I thank God everyday he was thrown into our circus.

Lacy and I are both bridesmaids, mum decided us girls were wearing a pale blue strapless dress. Since having Ryan, I gained a little bit of weight. Tyson and I have had our issues and I turned to food. Post-natal depression sucks dog balls. I have been getting the help I need, and I am trying to work on myself to drop the weight I have gained. Only issue is my boobs have grown a couple of cup sizes. Ughhhh.

"Mum, are you ready to go? These heels are already killing my feet" Lacy cries out. My baby sister is now 15 and is becoming a true little Diva. Worse than what I was at her age. But she is also one of the most kindest, caring people I have ever met. I am so thankful to call her my sister. "Yes Lacy" Mum calls out. "It's go time" I say to Ryan. Holding his little pudgy hand, we walk out of the bedroom in the hallway.

"Awwww don't you look like a real little man" Lacy coos at her nephew. "Acy" Ryan giggles and sort of runs to Lacy. Tripping at the last minute and barreling head first into Lacy's knee. "Woah, slow down you little heifer" Lacy tells Ryan. "No wonder we call him Ryno. His bloody head feels like it has a horn on it" Lacy says and we all laugh.

Mum and Jason, decided to get married at the house. We have a big enough yard to hold the wedding and reception so why not get all fancy at home. Mum, Lacy, Ryan and I all make our way to the back door. Lacy is to walk out first followed by me and Ryan. Of course Mum will go on her own. Bloody stubborn woman that she is said no to Lacy and I walking her. But we will be giving her away.

The music starts and Lacy makes her grand entrance. That girl couldn't just go in normally. You can hear the hooting and hollering from April and Kylie. Mum and I look at each other and burst out laughing. I can imagine it now what Lacy is doing walking down the aisle. I finally get the cue that it is my turn.

I hold onto Ryan's hand and we start our way down. He is holding the wedding rings on a little cushion. All the 'oohs and aahhs' coming from the guests make Ryan grin widely. He loves the attention. He gets that from his Aunty clearly.

The music changes and it is time for mum to make her entrance. She looks absolutely stunning today. The music had just changed and I looked towards Jason. He already had tears in his eyes. Tyson is standing up with him as well as his mate Micky that he works with. The chairs are all taken by fire fighters from Jason's station. If only I were single.

Mum starts her walk down, she decided that white wasn't her colour. Mum is dressed in a pale blue dress like us girls but it is covered in a beautiful off white lace. She looks like a true Queen today. I don't know who to watch more. Mum coming down or Jason. He is looking a right mess. Tears are falling freely down his cheeks. I reach into my bra and pull out a couple of tissues and place them in his hands. He gives me a grateful smile.

Mum finally reaches him and I am just in awe of the love they both have for each other. They have been each others rocks since they started dating. Jason has helped mum overcome her fears of moving forward after dad passed away. Mum has helped Jason get rid of his ex for good. He hasn't heard from her for the last year. She is also helping him make his dreams come true. He is getting a wife and a family who all love him like he has been apart of our lives from the start.

I take a sneaky look at Tyson, standing up there looking like a delicious dessert I can't wait to eat later. He was already looking at me. He winks and blows me a kiss. I blush at him. Even if we are having issues, he still knows how to make my blood pump to me neither regions. He has my heart completely. I just hope he doesn't trample on it and rip it apart.

When the celebrant asks who gives this woman away, both Misty and I say "We do". Ryan tried to join in but instead he just said "My nanny and pops" All the guests had a laugh at that. He can be cute but also the devil reincarnate.

I am to happy with today that I miss out on the vows being said. I don't need to hear them confess their love to each other. I hear it on a daily basis, just not with words. They are like a couple of horny teenagers in the house. I am surprised Lacy hasn't moved out or soundproofed her room. I come back from my daydreaming once the celebrant declares them husband and wife. As soon as Jason has dipped mum and kissed her, the guests all cheer.

I dab at the tears on my face, trying to not ruin my make up. Mum and Jason head on down the aisle together. Ryan walks over to Tyson to be picked up and carried. I walk down with Micky and Lacy takes Tyson's arm. "I feel like we should swap partners Mis" Micky says to me. I laugh and hit his arm with my free hand. "Nah, Tyson would try and drag me back up there to the celebrant to get us hitched" I say back to him with a small nervous giggle.

The night goes on with love and laughs and a few more tears. Jason made another speech and brought up Dad. He truly is thankful that he found us when we needed him the most. He says that it was dad who planted him in mum's eyesight.

Once the cake was cut, the rest of the night was spent drinking and dancing. Tyson has been hanging off me all night. I think there is something up with him but he wont talk to me. I have tried many times to get him to speak about what is on his mind but he brushes it off, like there is nothing wrong.

"Are you fucking kidding me right now Laura" We hear Jason yell out. I turn to look at them and he has mum wrapped up in his arms. Spinning her around the floor. Everyone is looking at them like they have lost their minds. "I'm gonna be a dad" Jason cries out. Everyone is stunned into silence. "WOOHOO" I scream out and make my way to mum and Jason, pulling them both into the biggest hug I can give them.

Lacy joins in this happy moment. Tears are streaming down her face. Jason wipes Lacy's tears off her face. Kissing her forehead. "Are those happy tears Lace, or do I need to run now before you plan my murder?" he asks her. "So fucking happy Jason. Your life is safe for now" She says to him with a smile on her face.

The rest of the guest come and congratulate the happy couple. The smile could not be wiped from my face for the rest of the night. Everything seems to be falling into place for us. It is time for Ryan to say goodnight to everyone, so we make our rounds to say goodnight and head off into the house.

Getting him ready for bed is a struggle. He doesn't want to miss out on the party but he can't keep his eyes open long enough to enjoy it. I put him on the floor in my room and quickly get changed out of my dress into some shorts and a singlet. I strip Ryan off so he is in just his nappy and we head into the bathroom. I run the bath for him and wait until there is just enough water in there to give him a quick wash.

Getting him down is hard. He wants to snuggle on me but I need him to learn to snuggle into his own bed. I always give up the fight and hold him until he is down and out. I transfer him from my arms to his crib, grab the baby monitor from the drawers and silently tip toe out of the room.

Rejoining the land of the living or adults even, I can't see Tyson anywhere. I start looking for him around the yard calling out his name. One of Jason's nieces comes from beside the house and Tyson follows her. "Are you for real Tyson?" I ask him. I can't stand looking at his face and turn back into the house, slamming the backdoor behind me. I go straight into Ryan's room, locking his door and sinking down it onto the floor.

The tears are falling down from my eyes. I am keeping my sobs quiet to not wake my son. I knew Tyson and I were having issues but I didn't think it was that bad that he would go elsewhere and especially on the night of my mothers wedding. I can feel my heart breaking, piece by piece in my chest.
