Chapter 15

Misty POV

Saturday morning rolls around. I knew something had happened last night when Tyson got into bed. He was restless all night. I wasn't too sure what had happened but I wasn't going to wake him up either to find out. Instead, I get myself dressed for the day and get Ryan fed and dressed.

We head over to mum's house and as soon as we opened the door to the kitchen, I can tell what made Tyson so mad. One look at my sisters bruised cheek has me seeing red. I put Ry down on the floor and march over to Lacy. "Who the fuck hit you Lacy?" I question her. She looks at me with tears in her eyes.

Not answering my question I ask her again "I am only going to ask once more Lacy. Who the fuck hit you?" I say again in a more angrier tone. She stares straight into my eyes. My eyes follow the tear that runs down her cheek. "Damian" she whispers to me. I grab her hand and pull her into me. Lacy breaks down on my shoulder. I try my best to comfort her, but I have no idea what exactly happened.

Ryan could see his 'Aunt Acy' was sad so he climbed onto her lap when she was sitting at the kitchen table. He cuddled into her trying to make her feel better. I look at her and I can tell she wants to talk but is also afraid to say anything.

Mum comes out of the hallway and sees us sitting at the table. "Lacy" she calls. "It's time to go make that statement hun. We are not going to allow him to get away with it" mum continues on. I look towards Lacy, my eyebrows raised. "Damian" is all Lacy says. I nod my head. I don't completely know what happened but I know it wasn't good. Especially when her cheek is ballooned out and is already turning black and blue.

Lacy stands from the table, handing Ryan back to me. "Good luck" I tell her. She gives me a tight smile and makes her way to the front door. Mum follows her. I wait until they have left the house and go into Lacy's room to ask the girls what happened.

I spend the next hour talking to April and Kylie. They fill me in on as much as they could. Both of them didn't see what happened but witnessed the aftermath and what happened when they got into Tyson's car.

My phone goes off in my pocket and I quickly check to see who it is. When Tyson's name flashes on my screen, I press the decline button and move out of Lacy's room. "Come on Ry Ry. Daddy is awake" I call out to Ryan. He comes running from the lounge room into the kitchen. I grab his hand and help him down the little step from the back door.

He takes off running to the front door of our little house. He can't reach the door handle, so kicks it instead. Tyson opens the door and looks down at a smiling Ryan. "Can't get mad at you when you smile like that" Tyson says to Ryan as he picks him up. I make my way to them and Tyson grabs me around the waist with his free hand.

"You alright babe?" he asks me. I nod my head. "You have a bit of explaining to do mister" I tell him. I can see he already knows what we need to talk about. "Later, ok babe. Don't want to say anything in front of him" Tyson says. I agree with him. Ryan is a little sponge. Anything that is said in front of him, he tries to copy and repeat.

I tidy up our house while waiting for mum and Lace to get back from the police station. It feels like half a day before they get back. Lacy comes straight to my house to talk to me. I make her a cup of tea with honey and we sit on the couch together. Tyson takes Ryan over to the main house, knowing that we need sister time.

Lacy spends the next hour telling me everything that happened at the party. My blood is boiling and I am ready to go and punch this fucker in the head. No one and I mean no one touches my sister and gets away with it. All I can do now though is hug my sister. We stay on the couch, Lacy's head in my lap and I gently rub her head and cheek. The bruise is at full force. Black and blue. My heart and soul hurts looking at her like this.
