Misty POV
The past few months have flown by. I am now honing in on my 8th month of pregnancy. This pregnancy has gone super smooth. No issues at all. Well except for the all day sickness and the shitting out of the eye of a needle. But other than that, this baby has been a superstar.
We never found out what were having this time around. Not that we didn't want to, but every time we went in for a scan, the baby would hide their legs in my back and we could never get a good enough view. Tyson believes it will be another boy. I have a feeling it is a boy but I would love a girl.
I have been feeling a few niggles here and there but nothing that I cannot handle. I know a lot of the tightening comes from the Braxton Hicks, but the stitch in my sides hurt like a bitch. But never fear, I have done this once before, I can do it again. "Misty, you awake?" Lacy asks as she walks through the front door. "Yeah Lace, I am just in the bathroom" I answer back.
Lacy comes into the bathroom to see me sprawled out on the tiles. "What the fuck are you doing?" she asks with a laugh. "Just spewed up the entire contents of my stomach and was feeling really hot, so the tiles are cooling me down" I tell her. I am enjoying the cold tiles, my only concern is getting up off the floor.
"Where's Ryan today?" Lacy asks me. "Tyson dropped him off at daycare so I could have a break. He is full on at the moment. I think he is excited for the new baby and is starting to act out a little" I say, trying to sit up off the floor. Lacy gives me her hand and helps pull me into a sitting position. "Not long now Mis. How many weeks left?" "A little over 4. I just want this devil spawn to come out already. My body is aching every bloody day" I tell her.
I use the toilet to help me get up off the floor. Lacy grabs a hold of my hips to steady me as I stand. "Thanks little sis" I say to her. Lacy smiles and takes off out of the bathroom. I brush my teeth and wash my face, leaving the bathroom when I am done. Walking into the lounge, Lacy is sprawled out on the couch watching the tv. "Fuck Lace, make yourself at home will ya" I say. She smiles at me and then pokes her tongue out, flipping me off in the process.
"Come on Lace. This wedding isn't going to plan itself. Did you not volunteer to be the wedding planner? Get to bloody work will ya" I say to her, pulling out the wedding folder. We have already chosen the colour theme, menu, venue (which is the backyard like mum and Jason), picked out the bridesmaid dresses and I am going to look at my dress once I have pushed this kid out.
"Mis, I know you don't want flowers but I think these tulips would look absolutely amazing sitting on the tables for the reception" Lacy says while going through some websites. I look at the flowers and think about it. I don't want to end up with heaps of leftovers that we will have to throw out in the end. "How about fake flowers, Lace?" I ask her with a shrug of my shoulders.
Lacy gives me her best stink eye. "Why the fuck would you want fake flowers Misty?" she asks. "Because they will never die just like the love I have for Tyson" I say to her with the best puppy dog eyes. Lacy barks out a laugh and applauds my fantastic acting skills. "Fuck Misty. You are hilarious. You should be a comedian" Lacy says. I laugh along with her.
"I just don't want to have to throw out flowers at the end of the night. I would rather no flowers so there will be no waste" I tell Lacy. "Tell the guests to take them home at the end of the night. Look, problem solved" she says, fist pumping the air. "Now who is the comedian?" I ask her. She flips me off and goes back to searching the internet for more ideas.
I get a large stitch pain across my stomach. It takes my breath away. Lacy looks at me with a dick ton of concern. "Mis, what is wrong?" she asks. I take a couple of deep breaths before I answer her. "Nothing Lace. Just keep getting a stitch like pain across my stomach. It doesn't feel like labour, but I will keep my eye on it" I tell her. Lacy is still on her phone and I am assuming she is scrolling the internet, until my front door opens and mum walks in holding a sleeping Brock.
