Lacy POV
Jason, Brock and I are still sitting in Ryan's room with him. I had put him back on the bed when the nurse came in to check on him. He was doing better. She said he would have a sore head for a little while. I had asked about the bleed on his brain and she looked at me funny. She said there was no bleeding on his brain at all. At that moment, I knew something fishy was happening.
"Lace, what is going on? Your mother hasn't said anything to me" Jason says. "Misty and mum both believe that the original doctor was being paid off by Tyson's mother to make up bullshit about Ryan's accident" I tell Jason. He sits down on the chair and lets out a deep breath. "This is getting ridiculous" he says. I couldn't help but nod my head, agreeing with him.
The door opens and a doctor walks in. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm looking for the patients mother" he says, spitting out the word mother. As soon as I heard that, I knew he was the original doctor. "I'm sorry. Who are you?" I asked him. "I'm the patients doctor and I need to speak to his parents" he says. I look him up and down and laugh.
"You are no doctor to this patient. If I'm correct, you told my sister that her son has a bleed on his brain, but when I asked the other doctor and the nurse they both said he didn't. So I'm guessing you are going to hand in your medical license after tonight, right?" I question him.
His face turns red in anger. "Listen here you little bitch. That child belongs with his grandparents, not with his dropkick mother and father" he says. Jason stands up to his full height and moves towards the doctor. "If I were you, I would leave this room and the hospital. The police will be here any moment to take you and your little friend away" Jason says. "Oh and the only grandparents this child has is me and my wife" Jason adds.
The doctor doesn't leave the room when Jason told him to and moves towards Ryan in the bed. I stand up and move closer to Ryan. "Move away from him" I say to the doctor. He just stares at me and gets an evil glint in his eye. "I will make sure he never goes home with you or your family. He will be with Julie, where he belongs" he says, turns around and leaves the room.
Another 3 hours pass, and we are still waiting on mum and Misty to come back. None of them are answering their phones, so we have no idea what is happening. Ryan has woken up again saying his head is sore. I press the call nurse button and a young thing walks in. "What can I help you with?" she says with a smile. "My nephew is complaining that his head is sore. Is he due some pain medication?" I ask her. She checks his charts and nods her head.
"I'll get Doctor Samuels to write him up some Tylenol" she says. "Oh sorry, but his doctor is Doctor Rogers. If that Samuels guy is the original doctor we don't want him anywhere near Ryan" I tell her. She nods her head and walks out. The door opens again and doctor Rogers steps in. "I heard the little guy is complaining of a sore head" he says. Ryan looks at him and nods his head then cries because it hurt even more.
The doctor quickly writes something on his chart and then leaves the room. The nurse came in not a minute later with some Tylenol and gives it to Ryan. "Thank you" I say to her. "You're welcome. Hopefully this will help with his sore head and you guys will get to take him home soon" she says with a smile and leaves the room.
Jason tries to ring mum again but she doesn't answer. He tries Misty and we hear a phone ringing from the outside of the room. The door opens, mum, Misty and Tyson all make their way in. Misty and Tyson go straight to Ryan. Tyson picks him up and holds him tight to his chest.
"What happened?" I ask mum. She stands next to Jason and looks at me. "Lock the door" she says. I do as she asked and lock the door. Making my way back to the chair I was sitting on. "So, once we had gotten to the police station, I told the officer that my son in law was locked up on false charges. He looked at me and scoffed. I showed him the footage that I recorded of Julie and the doctor. The officers face paled. He knew that what I was saying was going to get the lot of them in trouble"
