Astrid woke up with a lurch in her stomach she gagged and then raced to the bathroom. Hiccup woke up startled and heard the horrific coughs and gags coming from the bathroom.
Hiccup ran to Astrids side and held her hair back and rubbed her back soothingly to comfort her.
"Well we both know that I' am putting you on bed rest today Astrid" Hiccup said. Astrid gave Hiccup a look of disgust and rolled her eyes, she knew that Hiccup wasn't going to give up until he got his way so she didn't bother putting up a fight.

Hiccup felt so much better about himself now that Astrid was relaxing in bed. She planned to watch TV all day. Throughout the day, Hiccup would travel home from work every hour and make Astrid soup and give her foot massages.
He would text her to make sure she was okay but she just kept throwing up.
When Hiccup finally got home, he decided it was time to take Astrid to the doctor's, it had been the longest day possible for him and Astrid to be alone but Astrid and Hiccup thought it was best to visit Dr. Gothi.

Hiccup slid his hand under her knees and on her back and carried her out to their car. She sat in the passenger seat next to Hiccup cluthing a bucket, Hiccup drove with one hand while resting his hand on Astrid's knee.
She released a breath that she didn't even know she had been holding, the touch of Hiccup's soft skin soothed her. When they arrived at Gothi's Hiccup walked around the car, and began to pick her up, however Astrid stopped him. "Hiccup I know your trying to help but I can walk" Astrid comfortingly cupped his cheek and gave him a sweet kiss. Hiccup smiled at her and stepped back for her to get out of the car.

***** 5 Hours Later *******************
Back at their home, Astrid was snuggled into Hiccup's chest, with a blanket draped over her while they waited for Astrid's test results.
They sat on the couch staring into the burning fire glowing in the fireplace in front of them.
Then Astrid's phone began to vibrate in her hand, they sat up looking at her phone, "It's Gothi" said Astrid nervously looked at her Husband. Hiccup rubbed her shoulder caringly "answer the phone, you'll be fine, whatever it is, we will get through it together.
Hiccup looked at Astrid expectantly hoping the love of his life was okay. He watched her nod to what the doctor was saying, she had no emotion on her face, she was giving away nothing.

"Thanks Doc" Astrid hung up the phone, and the corner of her mouth twitched and a smile began to form. Hiccup felt left out and said "well? What's the matter?" Astrid smiled a big toothy grin and wrapped her arms around Hiccups neck and hugged him tightly, "nothing that won't go away in 9 months, and for this reason I think we should add an extension onto our house while we have the chance." Hiccup looked at Astrid with an confused expression on his face, "what are you talking about, why do we need a family sized house in the next 9 months?"
A look of realization appeared on his face, "YOUR PREGNANT! I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER!"
Astrid was so happy and relieved that it wasn't anything bad, "I'm going to be a mother, we are going to be parents, we are having a baby!"
A look of panic spread across Astrids face as she realized she was going to have a baby.
"I'm going to have a baby, I'm going to get fat, I'm going to be in pain for 9 months, we need to build an extension, how are we going to tell our parents, and the gang what are the going to say?, we can't afford a baby?! What are we thinking!" Astrid began to hyperventilate as she had a panic attack.
"Calm down mi'lady, it's all going to be okay, I'm right here and I will help you through this, let me worry about the house and the gang, you just need to rest and prepare for the baby, by doing some online shopping."
Astrid laughed "I feel so much better, thank you Hiccup I love you so much!"
Hiccup smiled back at her, "I love you to mi'lady!"
And they embraced in a passionate kiss.
