The winners lady: A thawfest proposal Pt. 2

The ball was magnificent, all of the vikings were dressed up formally in flowy dresses and tuxedo suits. Hiccup stood at the entrance to the great hall greeting all of the guests, awaiting his Cinderella.
Astrid arrived at the top step and stood next to Hiccup in his black suit with a matching black tie.
Astrid looked gorgeous. She wore a flouncy blue dress with off the shoulder straps and it was covered head to foot in Stormfly's scales.
Hiccup's haw dropped to the floor, "Babe. . . . you look beautiful, so stunning!" he said in awe, Astrid reached her finger upto his chin and closed his mouth. Hiccup scratched the back of his head nervously. Astrid smiled back at her boyfriend, little did she know, her soon to he betrothal.

They linked arms and walked into the ball together.

Hiccup and Astrid met up with the gang in a corner of the great hall, they talked and laughed all night until it was time for the winner to take the very first dance of the evening with his lady.
Hiccup and Astrid took the floor, doing a classic waltz, gliding across the floor.
Astrid spun out away from Hiccup, and when she turned back he was on one knee in the very centre of the great hall.
Astrid walked back towards him, her hands cupped over her mouth surprised and in shock.
All of the Vikings gasped happily as Hiccup began to confess his love Astrid.
Astrid Marie Hofferson, I have had a crush on you since we were 5 winters old, and I have loved you from the moment we started dating, you have helped me through everything and I don't want that to stop now, I need you in my life Astrid, because I cannot live without, I don't know what I would do if you weren't by my side Everyday, so I want you by my side Everyday for the rest of our lives, you have always been apart of my family, and I want to make that official so . . . . Marry me Mi'lady?" A happy tear trickled down Astrid's cheek and she nodded speechlessly not knowing what to say, "is that a yes?" Hiccup said excitedly, "Of Course I'll marry you, yes, yes, a thousand times yes!"
Hiccup slid the ring onto Astrid's slender finger and they embraced in a long passionate hug and a peck on the lips was all that was necessary considering the whole of Berke was watching.

***** 5 minutes later *****************

Parents and friends were swarming the newly betrothed couple to get a glimpse of the ring, that Hiccup had hand crafted out of Meatlug's gronkle iron, on it was Toothless' scale with a smaller scale of Stormfly's ontop.
Astrid was obsessed with her ring she continuously held her hand out and admired it, "oh babe, its beautiful, Hiccup you have really outdone yourself this time!" Astrid said wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him long and hard.
