This is a classic modern one shot where the nerd is falling for the bad girl, in this case Astrid is the bad girl and Hiccup is the nerd of course. And just to remind you there is only one more part after this, let me know how you feel about me switching topics.
"Hiccup Haddock please report to the headteacher's office" came a bored sounded voice from the loud speakers in the class room. The whole class turned to look at Hiccup right at the back with his satchel on his shoulder and his books in his hands. "Ooooo Hiccup's in trouble!" they chanted. Hiccup being very shy hated having to walk out of the class during lessons, but of course, he had to.
When he arrived outside the headteachers office, the receptionist invited him in. There stood in front of the desk was the most beautiful girl Hiccup had ever seen, she had pink hair as lush as candyfloss and ocean blue eyes however she was breaking the dress code, she wore a black jumper, grey denim shorts and fishnet tights with doc martin boots and the finishing touch of a black beanie.

"Ah, Mr Haddock, you're not in trouble, I just wanted to ask you if you would like to show around our new student, meet Astrid Hofferson." Hiccup was a goody two shoes so of course he agreed, and before he knew it he would stood outside the headteachers office alone with Astrid.
"So are we ditching or what?!" Astrid asked bluntly, Hiccup was shocked, "We aren't ditching, I'm supposed to show you around the school!" Astrid rolled her eyes, "Well I'm not doing that, so you can either go back to class with the rest of the nerds, or you can come with me." Astrid walked out of the door without waiting for a reply, Hiccup knew he couldn't just leave her walk out like that, so he chased after her to convince her to go back to school.
10 minutes later, Hiccup was sat on a swing with Astrid in a park. "We have to go back before get caught!" Hiccup exclaimed, Astrid rolled her eyes, "Will you quit your whining and moaning!" Hiccup grabbed Astrid's hand and dragged her back to school, Astrid kissed him on the cheek, Hiccup's cheeks flushed red, he felt his cheek where she had kissed it, "what was that for?" Astrid tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear flirtatiously, "I like a man who demands what he wants" and with that she turned around and walked inside.

Hiccup was laying on his bed thinking about his kiss with Astrid, he had finished studying so decided to write in his diary, (yes, he had a diary!) 'Dear Diary, today the best thing happened to me, a girl kissed me! She is the prettiest girl I have ever seen! Her name is Astrid Hofferson, she plays hard to get, but I think she likes me! She is a new girl though so she obviously doesn't know me well enough to think of me like the rest of the kids in my year, she'll find out soon enough. Imagine if she actually likes me though! Think of it, in 5 years she could be Mrs Astrid Haddock! OH MY GOD, its fits perfect, it is literally meant to be! I think she is my soulmate! Oh foods ready, I've got to go, write to you later diary!"
Astrid was no longer new to the school but had made no effort to make friends so hung out with Hiccup quite a lot. By this point, Hiccup was simping rather hard for this mysterious girl that he called her his friend, he was going to ask her to the prom, hopefully she would say yes.
