Can't this be 'happily ever after'?

"Roman, Patton, you have to both come back to the castle immediately. Who are these rejects anyway and why... why are you with them?" he shouts making Virgil yelp. "Let's go!" he yells again, starting to walk over to pull us away. "You know what? I don't even care about Patton but Roman! Get over here right now!"
"Ho-how did you find me?" I glare at him, shaking on the inside.
"I'm smart. Let's go!"
"No!" I scream back at him. He freezes and turns back to face me, eyes burning into mine.
"What did you just say?"
"No, I said no! I am not going back with you! I don't want to be king! I renounce my position!" I shout harshly. I see his eye twitch. I notice no one else has said anything, turning slightly I see that they are all frozen in fear.
"Oh yes you are!" He yells and grabs my ear starting to drag me away.
"No!" I scream. "I hate it! I hate you! And I hate everything! Leave me alone!" My father doesn't hesitate to punch me. I groan, falling to my knees. And then I see it. Janus, behind my dad with a baseball bat? Wham, out goes my dad, falling to the ground unconscious.
"There's surely going to be others, we have to leave. Let's go!" Janus shouts at us and suddenly everything seems to click in everyone's brains because they all stand up and we follow Janus to the car. Jumping in, Janus speeds off down the road. Patton is clinging onto Logan and Virgil is clinging onto me. I almost smile... but then remember we are on the run. We could've killed my father, not that I mind, but we could get in huge trouble.

"We're here, wake up!" I slowly open my eyes and groan, sitting up and cracking my back. I look over at Virgil. He looks vaguely disgusted but really cute. His hair is sticking out in random directions and his make up is all smudged. I didn't even realise he wore make up until now. You can now see the dark bags under his eyes but its kind of suits him.
Everyone climbs out of the car and walk into the hotel Janus had brought us too. It's a nice hotel, not that I know where it is though.
"Where are we?"
"I have no idea, I just kept driving." Janus smirks. I roll my eyes and walk inside, getting us a room.

I watch Virgil swing his legs over the balcony. The others were inside looking for something to eat since we left everything at the other place we stayed at, leaving in a rush, while Virgil and I watch the sunset. They didn't mind that we weren't helping. Virgil takes my hand and smiles at me.
"So, this is happily ever after?" I ask, chuckling.
"Happily ever after's aren't real. Just like vampires, or fairy's, they disappear when you cloze the book. But we're damn close." He says, leaning over and kissing me. He leans his head on my shoulder and sighs, smiling. "I love you, Roman."
"I love you too, Virgil."
