Can't this be 'happily ever after'?

PATTON's POV

"Wake up, Patton! Virgil has to go fight today; we need you to get up!" I groan and roll over, facing Remus.
"Why do I need to be there?"
"Don't you remember our plan??"
"Remus, calm the heck down."

Janus walks into the room, calmly.
"We-we need him Jannie!!"
"Just shut up and go away."
"You guys would be the best couple." I say when Remus leaves.
"Shut your mouth, Patton." I smirk and sit up putting my glasses on.
"So, the plan?"
"Oh that, Virgil got called to fight today so we decided we should use you today, telling them to surrender and all that." he waves it off. "First we have to have breakfast."
"I'll be there in a sec, just gotta get ready." I smile and he leaves me.

Virgil has to fight... today? That means he's fighting... I try to recall the list, wait- Roman was first since he has the best skill and apparently it would show them to back down. Virgil has to fight Roman if this doesn't work-

I run down the hallway and turn into the kitchen, accidently bumping into Logan. "Gah, sorry." He smiles at me.
"It's quite alright, Patton. What happens to be the rush this morning?"
"Oh, uhm," I look at him remembering the thoughts I had last night, I feel my face heat up,
"Patton?"
"Oh, uhm, sorry, I zoned out. I just realised that I know who Virgil must fight."
"Roman? We've already established that."
"Oh... haha..." I laugh awkwardly. Why am I acting so awkward?!

"Pat! The only person here who won't piss me off about Roman! Thank god your awake!" Virgil runs up to me and squishes me in a hug.
"Pfft, Virgil. Maybe I will tease you about him." I say, smirking at him. He gasps, fake offence inn his voice,
"How dare you! I thought you were a good person!" we giggle.
"Wait, Virgil... why are you so happy this morning?" he looks away, embarrassed.
"N-no reason."
"What happened last night?"
"I... maybe sort of like... bumped into Roman... but I messed it up by running away again but god he's so pretty, like what the hell? How could someone get more attractive- oh, OH I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say that! Gah! What the hell, Virgil!"
Janus snorts and Logan shakes his head.

"We should probably get to the arena..." Logan says breaking the silence after we finish eating.
"Oh, yeah, lets go I guess..."
"I- I should stay, here shouldn't I? Maybe it's not a good idea to use me this early?"
"My point! Let me die!!" Virgil shouts before covering his mouth and going red.
"If you ever say that again I will physically fight you!!" I scream back at him, "I'll go it's fine! Don't you ever say you want to die again, you shouldn't because you're an amazing, beautiful human being and we love you!"

We walk to the arena, all of us nervous, not knowing what was going to happen or how this would all play out.

Logan runs around to the other side of the arena, to the lightsides seats since he's still one of them. Virgil puts on an angry face and walks to the gates, waiting for them to open so he can prepare. Janus and Remus smuggle me into the seating, they are going to wait for the perfect opportunity and then stand up and scream about what they want. This might all end horribly or maybe it could be happily ever after?
