Can't this be 'happily ever after'?

*still virgils pov*

I climb out of the car, dragging my limbs to the motel. "Ugh, that was so uncomfortable, I'm never doing that again."
"Woah and you say I'm dramatic!" Roman hugs me from behind. I flinch, this can't happen again. I promised myself this would NEVER happen again.

"It would have never worked anyway, now let me leave." I almost shout, pulling my arm away from his grip
"Virgil-" I hear him sob. It's so hard not to turn around, it's so hard to not go back and kiss him forever. I furiously wipe a tear away from my cheek. Stupid guard dude, ruining my LIFE! I run into the woods. I have to cross all the way to one of the other kingdoms. One of them is a four day walk away and the others a one-day walk, I've chosen that one. I scream, whacking trees with my duffel bag. I end up throwing it into a river. "That never mattered anyway! I'll just get new stuff!" I scream at the river. "WHY! WHY YOU ROMAN! WHY DID I HAVE TO FALL FOR YOU!?" I double over, sobbing into my hands. "I promise myself that I will never ever fall for anyway ever again." I think, tears still sliding down my face. Then I remember something that was in my duffel bag, maybe the only thing I have left of Roman. I scream again and run down to the river, trying to reach the bag. I eventually reach it and pull it out. I scramble up onto the side of the river, dripping wet. I rip the bag open, everything's destroyed. I throw everything out, trying to find it. The ring, the promise ring he gave me when we started dating. "I promise I'll never stop loving you." He said, well too bad Roman, you have too now. My fingers clash onto a small metal object. I pull it out and shove it on my finger. "R-roman... I love you." I start crying again. That was the day I swore off love.

"Roman, can you not?" I shrug him off, he looks hurt, but I ignore it. We all rush into the motel into the room we booked. The society here is a lot different to ours in our kingdoms. It's a lot more modern. We have a one room since we're only staying here for a couple of nights. It has three doubles beds... oh shit.
"I'm with Jannie!" Remus shouts.
"Hehe, Logan wanna share?" Patton glances at Roman.
"Sure, Patton." Logan smiles. Roman turns to me.
"So, I guess we're sharing then...?"
"I'll sleep on the floor." I give him a fake smile.
"No, you won't. Stop being a wuss, it's just me." he frowns at me.
"I'm on the floor, Roman. Fuck off." I flip him off. His eye twitches but he doesn't say anything else. The other four get into bed since it's 10pm and we're all tired. Roman sits on the last bed for a while, I put a blanket on the floor and toss around for a bit. It's so uncomfortable but I can't get inn a bed with Roman.
"You uncomfy, Virgil?"
"No, I'm fine." I growl at him.
"Why do you hate me...?"
"I don't, Roman. I just can't do what I did last time again."
"Why, are you afraid of heartbreak?" he hisses at me.
"Yeah, actually I am, Princey. Three years without you was awful but now your back honestly it hurts more."
"Oh come on Virgil, I never actually broke up with you. Technically we're still together."
"Hm and you'll just leave again, and I'll be left alone to deal with it."
"I'd never leave you." I feel my face heat up. "I never stopped thinking about you, I never stopped loving you, why don't you just take me back?"
"I can't."
"At least get in the bed, I can tell you want to."
"F-fine." I crawl into the bed next to Roman. I can tell he's smiling. "Shut up, princey."
"Make me." I turn to face the other way.
"No thanks, I'm okay."
"Ouch, that hurt." He chuckles. It makes me smile.
"Goodnight, Ro." I whisper.
"Night, my emo nightmare."
