Chapter 10

That night, while Brer Rabbit was asleep, Jess snuck in and took him to Chick-a-Pin Hill.

And all the while, Brer Fox took the Wiggles in their sleep.

When he woke up, Brer Rabbit was utterly bewildered.

"Brer Rabbit? Where are we?" said Anthony.

"We's in Chick-a-Pin Hill. Brer Fox's lair" said Brer Rabbit.

"How'd we get here?" said Anthony.

"before we figure that out, we better wake Jeff up" said Murray.

"Ready, Brer Rabbit?" said Greg.

"Go for it" said Brer Rabbit.

"One, two, three" said Greg.

"Wake up Jeff!" they all shouted in unison.

"What's the matter?" said Jeff.

"Jeff, we're in Brer Fox's lair" said Greg.

"Heh! Dat you is. You played yo' last trick on me, Brer Rabbit! And tank you, Miss Jess. I couldn't have dunnit wittout ya" said Brer Fox.

"Jess?!" Murray shouted.

"Uncle Murray, I... I never agreed to this" said Jess.

"My own niece feeds me to a fox!" Murray yelled.

"An' now I can finally make dis rabbit into a stew!" said Brer Fox.

"Brer Fox, you said you wouldn't harm the Wiggles! You gave your word" said Jess.

"And I never breaks a promise. I promised not to harm de Wiggles. And I isn't harmin dem is I? No. Just de rabbit" said Brer Fox.

"No! Brer Rabbit, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I didn't know!" Jess yelled.

"You's a traitah, Jess! No wonder Calvin didn't respond de way ya wanted" said Brer Rabbit.

"And now, Brer Rabbit. I's gonna roast ya!" said Brer Fox.

Brer Rabbit had already come up with a way to escape. It couldn't work twice, but it was worth a try.

"Go ahead, Brer Fox. Roast me if you likes. But please. PLEASE don't let de Wiggles near me" said Brer Rabbit.

"Why not?" said Brer Fox.

"It's terrible to speak of. You go ahead and roast me and eat me. Dat's fine wit me. But PLEASE don't let de Wiggles near me whatever you do. Okay?" said Brer Rabbit.

Brer Fox thought Brer Rabbit was genuinely scared and let the Wiggles near him.

The Wiggles freed Brer Rabbit and helped him get away.

Brer Fox was officially defeated.

"A fine mess you got us into, Jessica" said Murray.

"He just tricked me. I'm really sorry, Uncle Murray" Jess sobbed.

"So you should be." said Murray.

"I'm having the worst trip ever" said Jess.

She then burst into tears and ran away.

"Good thing Calvin and I are workin on a song for her" said Brer Rabbit.

"You are?" said Greg.

"Yeah, we... we thought dat a song was de obvious way fo Cal to express hisself." said Brer Rabbit.

I sure hope a song in the best way.
