Lucinda P.O.V
"Come on Y/n. I'd say it isn't much further but that would be a lie" I say as we continue our trek through the silent woods, with the moon light beaming down on us.
"Lucinda, are you sure about this? What are we even her for anyway?" Y/n asks as she holds my hand a little tighter at the subtle rustling of the trees. Trees that seem to claw their way towards the sky in fear and despair.
"We're looking for the final ingredient I need for a very special potion, it's a flower that only blooms on Halloween. So we need to find it tonight. And in answer to your first question, not really" I joke, but with no response from Y/n.
"So why am I here?" Y/n asks while giving a sad pout.
"Company" I retort as we press onwards.
"So you don't need me?" Y/n asks, slightly annoyed, but mainly saddened.
"To find the flower, no. To spend time with my beautiful girlfriend, yes"
"Stop it" Y/n says blankly as she stops, and I with her. "Please, just stop. I just wanna be back home"
"No" I say, authoritatively. "You have been doing nothing but mopping in your room since you got expelled. I don't care if you want to or not, you're going to help me get this flower"
"It's just some stupid flower" Y/n shouts.
"The flowers not the point, you are" I say, pleading to her. "I love you" I say calmly as I take Y/n's other hand. "I hate to see you doing this to yourself. It's not good for you. So whether you like it or not, as your girlfriend and witch master. I am ordering you, as my girlfriend and familiar. To spend time with me"
Y/n stays silent as a look if guilt washes over her. "So where's this stupid flower?"
Y/n P.O.V
We both continue deeper into the forest. Our foot steps are all we can her as they crush and trample all sorts of sticks and leaves. I then notice that Lucinda is wearing a satchel.
"What's in bag?" I ask.
"Lots of things, it's magic after all. But it's everything we're going to need tonight" She says.
The winds start to pick up and a howl echos through the woods. I shiver and hold Lucinda closer. Her warmth, the only thing that makes me feel safe.
"What's the matter, it's just a bit of wind?" Lucinda playfully jokes.
"It's just that I'm cold" I stutter out. "Yeah, I'm cold. You're warm. Nothing else"
"You sure about that?" She continues.
"Yep" I spit out while glancing around somewhat frantically.
"I thought you didn't get scared?" Lucinda continues to joke.
"I don't. I'm not scared" I say as I pull away from her. "In fact, I'm"
Thunder!
"I'm completely terrified" I scream as I wrap myself around her whole body. My arms, locked around her chest. My head, dug into her neck. My tail, slivering round her leg.
"There there kitty" Lucinda says as she pats my head with one arm and dislodges the other from my grip, only to wrap it round my back. "I thought you like scary stuff"
"I do, I just don't like being scared in front of you. And it's been awhile" I say quietly as she strokes me.
"Is it too much?" She asks.
"The thunder was, everything else was the good kind of scary"
"Well I have a feeling it won't be as bad anymore" Lucinda comforts. "Now come on, lets continue"
